  1. No money on this earth would make me approve of calling Ibrox some shitty sponsor. It will always be Ibrox Stadium, home to "The Rangers Football Club" - The most successful club ever. I would hate my children to grow up going to the "Doritos Arena". Rangers and Ibrox go hand in hand. The day Ibrox is renamed will be the start of the demise of our great historical football club. It'll be the day we're no longer an institution and an icon in the sporting world and we move to just being another business.
  2. No one knows if this is his birthday or not. We don't know his age, we don't even know if that is really him name. He is just known to me as UNKOWN. We are all UNKNOWN.
  3. Nae bother mate. I agree, I'd like to see Hearts qualify. I really don't care about the other mob. I just want us to go as far as we possibly can. We should have killed PSV last year and it was a huge dissapointment that we didn't.
  4. Appologies, should say "only" I fucked up.
  5. Me too. Phew. St. Pauls isn't much better though.
  6. Who is the best RB we have? I don't think we have a great one. I'm happy with Whitty staying there to be honest, but everytime Edu goes to RB he normally actually gets involved. I don't think Naismith is a Midfielder at all, I think he is a good Striker.
  7. I'm excited about the Europa League. Don't get me wrong, i'd love to see Real Madrid, AC Milan etc at Ibrox in the Chmapions League but I really enjoy coming up against the teams who aren't the big guns. If we're being 100% honest here, we aren't realistically going to beat Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. However, i'd say 80-90% of teams in the Europa League are managable, that is if we can step up our game considerably. It's a level which we can compete in realistically and like I said although i'm gutted the "Big Guns" won't be comming to Ibrox to play, i'm happy we have some sort of European football and we are getting the chance to compete. Bring on the Europa League.
  8. Now there is a talking point. McGregor Edu Bougherra Papac Wallace Ortiz Davis Naismith Wylde Jelavic Lafferty?
  9. There has been a lot of talk that most of our Squad are played out of position. Now, when you think about it in terms of in which position do they play their best football, there is certainly a case to back up that a lot of our players play in the wrong position. For example our 4-4-2 will usually look like this ... McGregor Whittaker Bougherra Weir Papac Davis Edu McCulloch Ortiz Jelavic Naismith When you look at that team there are easily 5-6 players who play better in a different position. - Whittaker can't defend, he usually players a better game at RM. - Papac usually plays just as well, if not better at DC - Ortiz has no left foot and has been largely ineffective at LM, should be tried at RM. - Davis runs the show at MC and should be played there as much as possible. - McCulloch is not a MC at all. Would certainly try him as a ST, where he played very well for Wigan and see if he plays well. - Edu seems to always play better at RB If everyone played in the positions they seem to play best at maybe it'd look something like this ... McGregor Edu Bougherra Papac Wallace Ortiz/Whittaker Davis Fleck/Ness Wylde Jelavic/Lafferty Naismith/McCulloch Just a thought?
  10. 3 competitive games into his Rangers career the first two he didn't win and people are concerned about youngsters not playing? Lets get our actual first team squad playing well before we start throwing youngsters into the mix. I can't wait to see Hemmings, Ness, Bendikson etc all getting a chance but there are 36 more league games, hopefully plenty of europe and cup games left, there is plenty of time ...
  11. If you had to pick one of these to start, hypothetically, who would it be? Edu Pros - Far more athletic, gets about the pitch more often and can run and run. - On his day he can really contribute to a great midfield display. - Can play in an attacking and defensive position. Cons - Blows hot and cold, you never know which week he will turn up. - When he plays badly, it's worse than playing with a man down. - Passing is often suspect. McCulloch Pros - Enjoys getting stuck in for the team and doing the dirty work. - Has a good range of passing and a fierce shot. - Always a danger from set pieces and can play in different positions in need be. Cons - Getting on now and often slows down before most other players - He only seems to pass back or sideways. - Dribbling skills for a midfielder are suspect. Personally, I would choose Edu. Although I stuggle to see what either contribute to the team 80% of the time, I do think McCulloch is the better allround player, however, Edu on his day can be fantastic and really prove his worth. The only pity is we don't know when his day will come ...
  12. Ness, I think, will be a cracking player. I think if he plays in the middle with Davis and learns from him, he could be a similar player to Barry Ferguson.
  13. No idea why. Hutton didn't show anything in the games he played imo. A loan is a good shout though. He needs first team football somewhere.
  14. Kyle Hutton is worse than McCulloch. Jamie Ness, maybe.
  15. You're right. Lets get Tore Andre Flo II. Wallace played fine today. Goian will be a terrific CB for us i'm sure. Infact, neither of the players we have signed were the worst players tonight. We have weeks of the market left. No point in spunking millions away just cause you feel like we need to pay over the odds to get players who may or may not be good for us.
  16. Okay, i'm thrilled those who take care of negotiations haven't blew all the money on whatever the clubs want for their players. It makes no difference who does the contracts, it's a good thing that we are being shrewd in the market.
  17. He has to. Weir is too slow to keep up with Larsson and Bougherra doesn't look if he can be arsed. One has to give way.
  18. I hate this. This club is damned if they do and damned if they don't. Spend to much and we're pushovers, don't spend enough and we are trying to look the big shot. I'm thrialled Ally hasn't blew all his money on whatever the fuck clubs want for their players. Negotiation is a fantastic skill and has been used very admirably by Rangers so far. Keep up the good work I say. £800,000 for Goian is about £1 million less than what we would have paid under Bain and co.
  19. I agree with Simplythebest. Thought he was average today. Heeds to pile on some mucsle and power up the left wing. Seemed to dance/skip up there when he felt like it. Still the whole team was dreadful so, unfair to judge on his first game when it was such a bad one overall.
