Just wondering when exactly the transfer window closes for us because I'm not clear on whether it's midnight tonight or midnight tomorrow night. In England it closes at 5pm tomorrow evening, but for us it's different for some obscure reason unknown to mankind. :pierre: The main BBC transfers page states the following - So does it close for Scottish clubs in 7.5 hrs time or 31.5 hrs time??

So what you think is happening? Apparently Celtic denied interest in him , so if Rangers arent moving for him according to Chick , who is Total speculation here, but I think what's happened is that we've been interested in him & made moves to sound out the chance of a loan deal or something like that, but his club & agent want to sell him. It's either that or we've been interested, but lost interest after taking a closer look at exactly what he'd offer us. One way or another, it sounds like it's unlikely to happen & I'm cool with that because as I said yesterday, he just doesn't look like the sort of player we need if we're buying a striker.

Coisty said Broadfoot is being rested for a week or so because he looked like he needed it after coming back from serious injury and playing as many games. Coisty was saying to El Chico in the pre-match interview that they 'might' be able to get someone in on loan, but obviously they'd like to get one or two players in if possible & need to sit down and talk about it. Chick then came back on the airwaves after having been speaking to Coisty and chimed in to say that this Kujovic signing is NOT happening. Seemed very certain about it. Traynor then chimed in replying to Chick's comment saying - "well, you had this ruled out last night anyway". So in other words Chick was frantically phoning round last night trying to get the scoop & managed to figure out last night that it looked unlikely, which appears to have been confirmed to him at Ibrox today as he scurried around asking questions. That's my executive summary.

I'm thinking I'd rather we didn't sign this lad. Ok, so he might be worth a punt but he doesn't really look like the sort of striking talent we need. I'd have thought that if we need a striker at all it would either be one that can offer similar things to Miller when he's out injured again and again or someone who scores goals for fun like Boyd, but with more pace. Maybe I'm just being picky, but when we don't exactly have much of a budget for improving the squad I think being picky would be prudent. :pierre:

To be fair, people on here were saying he'd struggle in the Championship, yet despite the fact that he signed for one of the poorer Championship outfits, he's done remarkably well & helped them get in a position where they could be competing for a play-off place. I reckon Adam could do well at a low to mid table EPL team. Any higher than a mid table outfit & he'd probably struggle to get a game.

I blame Owen Coyle. He told us Lafferty was talented.

Loy should have played with Fleck yesterday. These 2 should currently be our backups for Boyd & Miller.

Ok nvager, your threads about changes to midfield, so I'll just say that I simply don't know. Mendes wasn't a real option, so centrally it was only really Ness that could have come on with Wylde an option on the left. I think Wylde could be great on the left wing, but he needs the opportunity & we can't field 5 youngsters in SPL games against Hearts unless we're really struggling for fit players.

I just think guys like Loy should be given a chance. I'm past caring how much Lafferty cost & how much he deserves a chance tbh.

All I can say is that I decided before the game that I'd settle for a draw if Hearts scored the first goal in the second half to make it 0-1. I just didn't see the personnel out there to come back from a goal down. In fact, with Lafferty up front I didn't even see us scoring through a striker at all. Wish I'd been wrong. Oh, hold that boat, Little is a striker! Thanks Andy!

Yes, but Miller & Thomson are supposedly ok, so it should be a slightly stronger starting XI & bench than what was at the piggery.

Good chance of it making 'goals of the week' given the amount of games being played...
