  1. Gary Caldwell will win it... :pierre:
  2. It's standard when you look to buy a company. You get a certain amount of information from them by signing an NDA. Happens all the time. Would that not just be concerning any confidential information you get access to and revealing certain aspects of any takeover? Surely it won't cover admitting your interested in buying and saying what your plans would be, as i say that happerns all the time........... Yes, it could cover that. It's not an area that I deal in day-to-day, but in my experience, NDAs could include such disclosures. I'm not sure what situations you are referring to but if another club is owned by a single person, they may not have the same level of standard procedures as a company such as MIH may have. Not that I'm an expert, but NDAs have a broad range of applications. AFAIK, they're most commonly used to protect intellectual property, but they can also be applied to situations such as this. IE, buying a company or entering discussions regarding buying a company, just as they could be applied to all manner of business deals. As the name suggests, it's simply an agreement to keep your mouth shut about something, namely, whatever is specified in the 20 pages of incomprehensible legal shite that forms the document you're signing. Not saying I believe that anyone signed any NDA though!! :pierre:
  3. Note to self - stop reading this guy's threads.
  4. I'd play Alexander + mostly reserve & U19s and want them to win, but if Hibs won & it meant Hibs securing 2nd place in the SPL I wouldn't be gutted about getting beat provided we weren't hammered. We've got some tough games to win before thinking about running away with the title though!
  5. It's was worth knocking back bids for Boyd if we win the title, even bigger bids than that one!
  6. The SPL handbook is being re-written as we speak! :pierre:
  7. 1. It's not signed and sealed. 2. If they get him on loan till the summer that's all it will be because - 3. They couldn't afford to buy him and - 4. They can't afford his wages for very long.
  8. Unfortunate name.... Sounds like a cross between trailer park trash and a posh pikey!
  9. Just sold their best goal scorer then. Best news of the day!
  10. He'll turn back at Toll Cross because of the smell anyway!
  11. I'm not a great fan of him, but Bain has really stepped up to the plate in the past few months. Yep, my opinion of him has gone up.
  12. Bain saying this doesn't actually mean that we won't sign anyone.
  13. That would do him the world of good, but I won't be putting money on it, even at 200-1 or whatever the odds are.
  14. Good point actually! He probably wanted to move anywhere to get the fcuk out of Hull, so a move to the sunshine can't be bad..
  15. Not at all !! AFAIK, he's a married guy who's lived & worked in Holland for many years, speaks Dutch, watches a lot of Dutch & German football and is obviously Rangers mad as well. He's a moderator over on Gersnet & has written articles about the Dutch football youth system. Not saying those quotes I posted are accurate, just telling you what I know which is that Pete isn't some hippy dude sitting getting stoned in coffee shops.
  16. We can't really lose if it's a loan deal anyway! Not getting my hopes up that it'll happen, but if it does, then we'll no doubt get a chance to see him play...
  17. Courtesy of Pete on Gersnet who lives in Holland - "Does not get a game very often and recently has been moved back to LB. He does have Marten Martins(sp) in front of him who i rate very highly. The fact that three different managers have not fancied him maybe says a lot. I have been checking the AZ websites and Came across: The guy is just a Laugh.A waste of space.Couldn't pass a lamp pole. The corner flag moves quicker. No football intelligence. On the news that Rangers want to loan him got this answer - Of course this is from faceless people behind a keyboard."
  18. Was thinking the same thing. That's even worse than Lincoln City!
  19. Agree with the OP. Like someone else said, Wylde on for Novo, Naismith on for Lafferty and as Muff said in the OP, Ness on as well, probably for Davis although McCulloch would have been ok to take off too. Simples! Maybe Smith was brought on for Papac because we plan to extend his contract and he's actually got a future here?
  20. Steven Whittaker at left back, Kirk Broadfoot at right back! Exactly! Whittaker is better at left back than he is at right back anyway, just as Broadfoot is better at right back than he is at left back. There's also a fair chance that if Stevie Smith leaves, Wylde will be our backup left back for times when Whittaker can't be played there for whatever reason/s.
  21. It is indeed strange, but I remember thinking it was strange in the past. Who the hell makes rules like that? The transfer windows for the whole world should open and close at exactly the same time, irrespective of time zones etc, but where exactly is the sense in us having a different transfer closing time than England? The loonies must have got out and taken over football.
  22. Yep, Muff is right again... http://www.scotprem.com/content/default.as...9&back=home
  23. Right, so the beeb's transfer page is wrong about it being midnight for Scotland & it's actually the same time for Scotland & England? Typical untrustworthy BBC... Thanks folks!
