  1. Muff, do you have a link to the source of this list?
  2. That's what he should do imo, but only if he's getting ALL of the cup games including cup finals.
  3. It's a strange one. Maybe he's just a muppet & doesn't know that he's stuck there till the end of the season. Have to say that although we need better, I'd rather see Webster playing at CB for us than Lee McCulloch...
  4. He's not good enough for Rangers, and that's the exact words the Dundee United fans I know, say about Webster. I don't rate him, and I hope he stay's at Dundee United. I'd rather give David Weir another year, than see Webster in a Rangers jersey! He's about as fast as Weir which is worrying enough, and ten times more injury prone. He can be a pretty dirty player as well which I don't really like.
  5. Go to page 16 in this regulations document - Regulations on the Status and Transfers of players (October 2009) The terminology used in the regs is 'just cause' & it essentially means very special circumstances. I seriously doubt that injury troubles (just for example) would count as 'just cause' for breaking a loan deal contract because it's entirely our own fault if we don't have cover. It's our own management's fault & responsibility if we end up scraping around for a player to come in & play in any position we're short.
  6. Loan contracts can only be broken in very special circumstances & a club all of a sudden deciding that they need the player back doesn't count as a special circumstance. One of the only possible get-outs that's specifically mentioned in the FIFA regulations is if a player on loan has played less than 10% of possible games/game time, then that can be used as a get-out clause, presumably by any of the parties involved (either club or the player). Other than that, I'm really not certain on what would be a special enough circumstance for the loan contract to be allowed to be terminated. It would need to be serious though.
  7. I'd rather he broke it before going there, since the pressure on him to break the record in front of that lot would be terrible. He'd be more likely to score against the mopes if he didn't have the pressure because he'd already broke the record.
  8. Aye it's 5 goals tae go!that actualy rhymes get that made into a chant.to the sound of the pet shop boys song "go west". Not saying anything about you personally, but that song is queer. :pierre:
  9. I hope he doesn't start that team. Absolutely chronic player selection. Boyd + any striker other than Lafferty & send McCulloch down the Perth Rd for a few pints please!
  10. The players should concentrate on their own jobs instead of worrying about a teammate missing a couple of days training or a game because he's late back from bloody Africa. Do Miller's friends and family live in Africa? If Bougherra's late returns have caused players in our squad to have a problem with him, then IMO they need to take a look at themselves because it makes them look like bickering wee bitches. They should get on with what they're paid for which is certainly not bitching about their teammates and creating bad vibes in the squad & dressing room. Players get asked awkward questions all the time by the press & it shows up the thickos from the astute ones, the snyders from the gentlemen when they start criticizing their own teammates on camera & to press conferences. JMHO :pierre:
  11. I'd be well up for Ness being given a chance in central midfield with Davis nvager. I'd also like to see the likes of Loy given a chance up front with Boyd, so my starting XI might look something like this - Alexander Broadfoot Bougherra Wilson Smith Whittaker Davis Ness McCulloch Boyd Loy I know I'll be shot down for suggesting that line up though...
  12. Here's the official UEFA Press Kit for the match - Sevilla FC v Rangers FC
  13. :mcgregor: :whittaker::weir::wilson::papac: :bougherra: :davis::thomson::rothen: :fleck: :boyd:
  14. I get the impression that he made quite an impact at Oxford, keeping a more experienced left back out of the team. Have to say, I was quite looking forward to seeing him play at left back for us at some point.
  15. If it's only 6 weeks then it's probably nothing major.
  16. It may well be a requirement in obtaining & maintaining a safety certificate? That might go a way to explaining why people are asked to sit down by stewards. From the SPL Handbook (page 113) -
  17. Aye, because the seats take up a fair bit of space & the design is centered around maximizing the number of seats per section. Can you imagine sitting between 2 fat people?
  18. Who said that then? A steward. I think that happens quite regularly. It could be that whole sections standing (or at least large chunks of them like in the Broomloan) is ignored whilst a few people standing in an area where almost everyone is seated is not permitted/tolerated. It would be amazing if the SPL changed the all-seated rule to allow a single non-seated stand like Dortmund have. That's the best we could hope for since they're never going to go back to full stadiums being non-seated.
  19. Why would you play a left footer like Wilson on the right of central defense?
  20. Got offered a free £28 ticket for their Europa League game the other night & laughed at the guy.
