  1. Don't think there is much chance of Lee McCulloch being dropped! 99 times out of 100 I would agree. But after Thomson looking back to his best last week, and Smith saying before the Hibs match that he prefers wide players, I think it could be the day we get Thommo and Davis in the middle.
  2. I could be the team from december, but is beasley considered fit after last weekend? Smith did say he thinks he put him in too soon, but I gather he did well in a reserve/ bounce game on Monday. The other thing is will Smith want to drop Thomson/McCulloch to make room for Novo on the right by bringing Davis into the middle? If he does I think he will drop McCulloch as Thomson was looking like his old self against hibs last week. I really want to see Davis and Thomson in the middle as they are out too best CMs, and with two wide men we would tear StJ apart.
  3. All the old criticisms of Boyd coming back up in this post, and I have to admit I'd have been saying the same sort of stuff 18 months ago. I don't think your giving him credit for the progress he's made as a player in the last year and a half. Yes, he is still no total footballer, but now even in the games against the bigger teams when chances are scarce and he doesn't score you'll see him dropping off the defence, his passing has improved, he's more creative and does alot more running. You point to the fact he only scores against the wee teams, he is a prolific goal scorer in the SPL and his goals went along way to us winning the title last season. I agree he can GTF if he is squeezing us for more money, and if he leaves for nothing in the summer he is really fucking us. He is replacable, but to find a player who will come in and bang in as many goals as he does will take money. To replace him we need a fee for him, if he goes for free he is fucking the 'club he loves'. If he goes for nothing and we buy a replacment, thats funds diverted from other areas of the park. This would mean he doubley screws us if he does go, and would be the actions of a man who does not have the clubs best interests at heart. That said, this is all hypothetical and I hope to fuck he stays with us for a season or two and we get a decent fee for him when he goes.
  4. Not at all but in better shape then we were......plus better figures then Celtic!! Just imagine Tims miss out on CL 2 years in a row, they would be in real trouble taking in to account the money they spend on wages and transfers
  5. Looks like we will be out of the shit if we win the league and get CL next season
  6. Most definately the league. History remembers the winners, and 53 league titles comes over any one game. Let them win the battle, I'll take the War.
  7. Boyd. Bougherra could be replaced, just as he replaced Cuellur.
  8. Well put. All of them plus Laudrup's header at Tannadice to win 9 in a row
  9. Whittaker and Bougherra, two of our defenders, are more skillful and have more end product than thier most skillful waste of space that ginger plastic paddy
  10. This is Glasgow Rangers, we are the upstanding club. That would be below us, sounds like a timmy move.
  11. Since when did we play in maroon? Interesting to see a Big Kyle's a player thread. He had his moments last season before the injury, can't knock his effort but he's struggling to score the now and if he scores two the morn I'd be pleasantly surprised to say the least
  12. I thought they didn't let ya use the phone in psychiatric wards. That was sound o that boys carer to let him out the straight jacket to phone bbc Scotland.
  13. I agree he is not the best right back in the world, but he offers a lot more the Broadfoot does. He hasn't cost us a lot of goals (Unlike others) and he has chipped in with 9 goals and a couple of assists. He gets exposed as times, when Davis is right mid, as Davis tucks in and sometimes leaves him to content with 2 players. We need to play Steven Whittaker, as we have enough defensive minded players in the team to cover for him. Broadfoot brings nothing to the Rangers team. W lets folk in behind him every game he plays at right back, his positional sense is a constistant weakness. I agree he is the better footballer, hence the 9 goals, and should be played on the RIGHT of midfield. Broadfoot is consistent at RB
  14. ya had me pumped up there until the fucking MJ quote!
  15. My thoughts exaclty, Boyd, Wilson, Beasley, Bougie all go and we bring no one in, we'd be fucked
  16. Watty confirmed we are looking for a winger. If he wants a striker as well maybe a indication Boyd is on his way out at the end of the season. If the reports on Kujovic are true and he bangs in goals like the youtube clip no a bad replacement.
  17. Big match tonight and theres afew big names back in the squad. The T**** have Hibs so the night is a big chance for us to increase the gap. Tonights squad- McGregor, Whittaker, Papac, Weir, Broadfoot, Little, Wilson, Davis, Thomson, McCulloch, Lafferty, Fleck, Mendes, Miller, Naismith, Novo, Smith, Alexander I would have- McGregor Broadfoot, Weir, Wilson, Papac Davis, Mendes, Thomson, Novo Miller, Fleck
  18. What you on? Must get some good shit round your way like
  19. They will definately drop points from those fixtures Excluding Hibs our run is pretty straight forward We're in the driving seat for sure WATP
  20. Get him back in the team with Novo and Beasley down the flanks and we will see the full force of his creative talents. He can split a team with his passes and with two extra attacking threats along with Miller and Boyd up top he will be spoilt for targets to put in. I hope to fuck we don't sell him cos he is the most creative CM we have, some will argue Davis can do that job but I don't rate that side of Davis's game above what Mendes can do.
  21. McGregor Broadfoot Weir Bougie Papac Beasley Davis Mendes Novo Boyd Miller The team we had in December before the injuries, but switching Mendes for Thompson/ McCulloch. Wilson is not far off Weir but at least for the rest of the season I reckon Weir is the better shout as he's tried and tested, and we need that consistency in the run in. Wilson should be first choice next season. Thompson or Big Lee (on present form) is no far off Mendes's spot, but if we get Mendes playing he's the better choice for now, as I can see him creating alot more with two extra attacking options in Novo and Beasley along with the tried and tested strike partnership.
