He's a player that puts bottom 6 sides to the sword. Do we need Boyd to beat bottom 6 sides ? Not in my view. But how often does he make the difference against tougher opposition ? Once last season, at home to Hibs. Barely ever scores crucial goals away to the top 6....barely ever scores full stop in those games actually. 1 goal in 8 starts against Celtic. 1 goal in 5 away starts this season. To look at his total goals tally each season isn't enough. This is a player that isn't scoring the goals for us when we really need him. His goals did not win us the league last season. Not unless you think we need Boyd to beat bottom 6 teams or even to beat Hibs at home. We need players to step up to the plate against Celtic, and games like yesterday away to the top 6. That's what will make the crucial difference to where the league title ends up. You're mental.

Any quality player he has sold he has been forced into doing so. Incase you hadn't noticed, we need the money. I'm not saying that he has done a great job in the market, but you can't blame him for the departure of Hutton, Cuellar etc etc

Being the Best team in Scotland aka winning the league is the benchmark. I couldn't give a fuck about Europe to be honest. Whilst i agree that winning in Scotland is what we should be aiming to do, i do think we should be at least aiming for Last 16 in europe. It would be welcome, but it's just the "bonus ball" - it counts for little on its own. 2007-08 summed it up. A great run in Europe, but we fucked up the League and I personally ended up feeling like shit throughout the summer because of it. Winning the title is everything to me, because it means we're the Best in Scotland. So winning a two horse race in a mickey mouse league against a team who are utter shite, is what it's all about for you? Ambitions eh, who needs em?
