This is just my opinion, but I think some of our fans are almost hoping they break the silence for a bit of one upmanship. I would be a lot happier if the respected it, or if they didn’t,then we should not be retaliating. The clearest thing I heard yesterday was one of us shouting fucking animals at them.
We should never stop the minutes silence as I think that would be a kick in the teeth for the family’s of the 66. There’s nothing can be done if a few idiots want to disgrace themselves but please stop responding during the silence. Once it’s finished, let the manky bastards know how disgusting decent people find their behaviour. I’m talking about their fellow celtic fans here as well.

Thought the ref did really well to be fair. Didn’t make the game about him and let a few tasty tackles go. That’s the way it should be.

My man of the match today. From his first tackle to his block near the end. Fucking outstanding. Healso deserves a lot of credit for battling through the hard times and being able to convince the manager that he deserved to be here.

There’s nothing unexpected in this. Any player worth their salt wants to play in a top league. The higher the league the bigger the money. Whilst we would all happily pay money to play for the famous, these guys are different. Anyone realistically thinking Alfredo is here for the long haul is kidding themselves on. I hope he scores the winner on Saturday and stays for the rest of the season, after that I think we should cash in and wish him all the best for wherever he goes. We need to find another couple of young players of similar quality and get a couple of seasons from them before selling them on. Whether we like it or not that’s the way forward for us. As far as the press trying to make a story out of it............meh.

Really disappointing to be honest. Sadly lacking in quality, especially midfield. To be honest I would start Rossiter on Saturday because Coulibaly is adding nothing to the team at the minute. After a spell when I felt really positive about our chances, the confidence is being sucked out of me. I’m now going into Saturday with more hope than expectations. The only thing keeping me going is that I still think celtic are bang average.

Could never imagine a time when I didn’t care what was going on with us. I followed all over Europe and had a season ticket for 26 years. I would still be going today but unfortunately my circumstances changed in 2011 and I can’t physically go to games now. I’m still hopeful that I’ll be able to return someday. In my opinion, once a bluenose always a bluenose. And thank God for that.

Really happy to see him in the team any week. But we need someone in beside him who can see a pass and make it quickly. I think Ryan is great at breaking the play up but he needs a creative midfielder to shuffle it on to.

I thought we played really well tonight apart from the obvious lack of goals. One thing we are really lacking at the minute though is a bit of good luck. So many times tonight when the ball didn’t fall for us or a goal bound effort hit some bastard who knew nothing about it. Then you factor in the referee missing a stonewall pen and a sending off . If he gives the penalty we win the game and we’re all talking about a great performance and a big three points. Like I said if we didn’t have bad luck at the moment we wouldn’t have any.

Was fucking raging at the final whistle and particularly pissed off with Morelos. After thinking about it though, he was fuckin unplayable tonight. His hold up play was unbelievable and his part in the Tavernier chance was world class. A real pity he didn’t win the match for us as in hindsight he really deserved to.

I would be more concerned if we hadn’t made any chances today. If you look at the game ,Lafferty has missed 2 easy headers but to be fair to him he almost scored a great goal when he hit the side netting. On another day we might have scored 4 or 5 . I agree that we definitely need a midfielder who can play a telling pass, and I don’t see any of our current midfielders being capable of doing this.
For the next few games I think we just have to get results any way we can. I’ll take 4 scrappy 1 nils between now and the break.

I’ve said this in a few other threads. celtic are bang average. There’s absolutely no reason why we can’t win the league this season. The problem we have is inconsistency and if we can just get a wee run going then it’s definitely game on.
Games like Wednesday night will tell if we’re capable or not. The manager has to have his team fired up for this but they have to be clever as well. Finish the game with eleven men and we should be fine.

That was another hard watch, but the three points were all that mattered. Lafferty is a scorer of great goals but not a great goal scorer. He should have scored both those headers.
We need to improve considerably on Wed night to take anything from that game. Creative midfielder and another striker please Santa.

Brought a tear to my eye there. Well done everybody involved in that. We really are a special club and sometimes there’s just more to it than the football.

When you get to this level it’s very small margins. Rapid weren’t a great team but their goal had a bit of quality about it. If Goldsons header goes in first half, it’s a different game.
The one thing I wouldn’t level at this team is a lack of effort. I think it’s down to effort and hard work that we got this far in Europe. We are seriously lacking in midfield quality, but you can’t say that our midfielders didn’t bust a gut tonight. The Moscow games home and away again showed that we putin the effort but didn’t have the nouse to take more than one point off a team I feel we were better than. I don’t know if we have enough money to strengthen the squad with real quality( I doubt it ), but until we do no amount of hard work and trying will be enough to take us further at this level.

I’ve said in other threads that I think we’re very lucky to have him. No doubt he also feels very fortunate to cut his managerial teeth at a club like Rangers. He won’t be a top manager overnight, but I genuinely think he will go on to be a great manager in one of the big leagues. I’m hoping he stays here for a few seasons and gets us back to the top. He will make mistakes along the way and already has, however we shouldn’t shit ourselves every time he does. If we keep the faith with him he will bring us great success.
