Hopefully he'll crack on from here and make the LB position his own
Thought he was a big positive from tonight. Said in another thread that he will become a very big player for us.

Spent the night fucking and blinding at the tv. I’m desperate to be optimistic but it’s being sucked out of me a bit at the moment. Anyone wanting Gerrard sacked though, are taking it a bit too far in my opinion. This was always going to be a very difficult job to take on. However, he had the balls to take it on and he should be given a fighting chance to take us forward. We can’t keep sacking managers and then trying to fund new players all the time.
I am still hopeful that we can keep a challenge going (because I think the tarriers are a very average team) and if we can take the majority of our points between now and the 29th, I honestly believe we have a great chance of beating them on the day.
So come take fuck Rangers and don’t drain the last bits of hope out of me.

There is no team in this league that looks like winning every week. Whoever makes the least mistakes will win it. There’s absolutely no reason why we can’t go on a good run and put them under pressure. However, the manager needs to decide who his top 15/16 players are and stick with them. Making five and six changes to this team will not work. I’m hoping he has sussed this out now and if he finds a winning team then don’t fuck about with it. We’ve still got a decent chance in my opinion ( though we’re not favourites) but any more bad mistakes and we will be struggling.
The good news is that celtic and the rest will definitely shed points and we have to take advantage when. They do.

I’ve a sneaky feeling that Barasic will come onto a game and really be an excellent player for us. It’s been too start stop for him but if he can get a wee run in the team I think he’ll come good.

Our main problem at the minute is inconsistency. A week ago we had just beaten Hearts and that was our second big result in a row with 10 men. Fast forward a week and we have 2 shite results playing against ten men. These kind of results knock everyone’s confidence and also take away the feel good factor.
I personally still think that we can continue to move forward under Gerrard ,and I think he has learned a few harsh lessons in the past week. Hopefully he will realise that he might have a big squad, but the depth of quality isn’t there. He can’t afford to make wholesale changes and keep getting results. Decide who your best 15 is Stevie and stick with them as much as you can. You’ve given a chance to some players and they’re just not up to it.

He looks really nervous at the moment. His confidence is shot.

I honestly can't help but like Levin.
He hates everyone. There is absolutely no bias to it.
I like him because the tarriers absolutely despise him.

Sure thing Craig. 👍

We need a midfielder who can spot a pass and play it quickly. I think Ejaria is skilful enough, but he looks as if every game is a kid on with his pals. You’ve absolutely no chance as a striker unless you can get decent service. I do agree that we need to bring in another forward player in January but at the moment a decent midfielder is more important.
-
We definitely need a midfielder who can split a defence and another striker. My opinion is that if we’re still right in the hunt come January( which I think we will be) , then we will push the boat out and try to do a bit of business.

We need a couple of big games from him. As someone posted previously, he’s capable of a great goal or 2 but he’s not a great poacher. He also has to be a bit more savvy against central defenders. Almost every time he goes up for a high ball he gives away a free kick.
This is his chance to make himself a hero. I can’t see anyone else being given a chance in the next 2 games so come take fuck Kyle. Earn your wages. I do think on his day he’s a handful for the opposition, so I’m quietly confident he an do us a turn.

I'll leave it, still think you're a taig, so given that I'm uneducated and ignorant I have no problem in telling you to fuck off declan.
Last word from me on this. Do me the courtesy of reading the posts I’ve put on. If you see anything in them that convinces you I’m a tarrier then fair enough. Going by your post count your an old stager on here so you should be able to sniff out a proper rattler. By the way, no hard feelings either way. Life’s too short.

Aye very good. You know fuck all about me but feel free to brand me as a taig. I’ll continue to post when I want to and if I’ve something I want to say. I don’t need to justify myself but if the money I’ve spent following Rangers for 37 years ( up until 2011) had been spent on your education, then you wouldn’t be ignorant enough to infer i was a Tim. Take that or leave it but regardless I won’t be getting into an argument with you.

I think he’s made an honest enough assessment of the game to be fair. He also made positive substitutions at the right time. However, he has to take a bit of responsibility for selecting Flanagan and Coulibaly in my opinion. Also, it’s a wee bit worrying that some players aren’t taking on his instructions about discipline. I hope he’s handing out a few bollockings behind the scenes because these red cards will eventually scupper any realistic chance we have of winning the league. Get them telt Stevie!!!

I didn’t get too excited on Sunday when we went top and I’m not going to be too despondent tonight. Get used to this because we aren’t going to win every game. The good news though is that neither is any of the others. We need a good result on Sunday now but unfortunately it’s not guaranteed. Keep the faith because there’s a long way to go.

I remember the last few seasons around this time of year I'd be dreading every single game regardless of form or results.
Gerrard has brought the buzz back, when one game is finished I can not wait until the next one and spend the hours in between consuming as much about the club as I can.
We are back, in more ways than one.
This is exactly how I feel about things. Last season I started recording the games as I couldn’t bear to watch them live. Needless to say, I deleted quite
a few without even watching them. This season I’m looking forward to the games and although I’m not over confident I feel we have a decent chance regardless of who we play.
Thefinal hurdle for me will be beating the tarriers. If we can do this on the 29th, we will be making a huge statement to everyone but most importantly ourselves. What a confidence booster for the rest of the season. Please make it happen Rangers.

The more I think about it the happier I am that we have him as our manager. I don’t know if it was a stroke of genius, or a bit of luck and desperation by Mark Allen, but I’m happy either way.
You can see that the players are willing to run through walls for him ( maybe too much ,given the red cards) but I’d rather have that than guys like Josh Windass who couldn’t give a fuck whether we were winning or losing as long as his hair looked good.
Steven Gerrard will undoubtably make mistakes and we will undoubtedly have some poor results along the way. However, let’s
just be very thankful that he’s here.

I can't think of any reason at all to watch or listen to them unless we are playing them. I'm convinced that mob watch us more than their own club.
Here’s the thing. I couldn’t give a fuck what they sing, who they sing it about, or what Subject it has to do with. I’ve never been hospitalised because I got sang at from the other end of the ground.
All this pish about being offended, reporting it to the police, tv companies, calling phone ins. I don’t get any of it and it just emphasises how obsessed they are. I would rather we didn’t do it either as some sort of tit for tat thing because I think we’re better than that. So sing and shout whatever you like at me , I won’t lose any sleep and I’ll still wake up as a bluenose the next morning.

What a sad batard. To actually take the time to sit down and write to FIFA about a load of bollox just shows how fucked up this country is at the moment. Since I started following Rangers ,( which is a long time ago) there has always been hatred between the two sets of fans.
However, you went to the game in these days , shouted abuse at them for 90 minutes and then went to the pub and got on with your life. These sad obsessed idiots have now completely lost the plot and couldn’t give a fuck about what’s happening at their own clubs. All that seems to interest them is trying to dig up some dirt on Rangers to make them feel better about what’s going wrong at their own midden.
Personally, I take it as a compliment, because it lets me know that they realise we are right fucking behind them now and will soon be overtaking them on the rails.

Big boost if he returns just in time for a hectic December. Was finding good form and hopefully picks up where he left off.
Couldn’t agree more. This month will be vital to our chances of taking the tarriers the whole way. I would be happy even to see Kent coming off the bench late in games to run at tired defenders. I think the boy has something about him and will end up a very good player. Unfortunately that won’t be for us, so let’s get the best out of him while we can.

I watched the game today with my son. When we went a goal down I was confident that we would come back and win the game. When we went to ten men I had a good idea would hold on and win the match.
If this had of been last season or the one before, I’d have fucked something at the tv and kicked the dog up the arse. I don’t think we give enough credit to Gerrard and his staff for how far they have taken us in a few short months. Obviously we are nowhere near the finished article. But I’ll tell you what, this is a team full of character and at last we have players with balls who stand up to a physical challenge and give as good as they get. Guys like Josh Windass would not be tolerated by this management team.
In my opinion, we are very lucky to have Stevie Gerrard and I can only see good things ahead. Just let’s not start shitting ourselves every time we have a bit of a setback.

I think young Middleton will go on to be a decent player. It’s always great when a kid comes through and breaks into the first team. However, it doesn’t guarantee that things will be rosy. For every Ian Durrant and Barry Ferguson, there’s a Greg Wylde and a Barry McKay. The boy probably needs benched for a while and I think this will happen now. I can understand why Gerrard has been playing him but that in itself is a bit of a worry as it seems he doesn’t trust Grezda at the moment.
