  1. It would have been nice if we got some money for them, but now that we have our new owners, a fair transfer budget and no debts to worry about it shouldnt worry us much.
  2. There's no point signing any semi-reasonable players to do a job for us and be part of the team because the fans will want them discarded when/if we reach the SPL. They'll start spouting the whole "Rangers class" pish again.
  3. So people want us to buy our way out of trouble? Isn't that what got us here in the first place?
  4. I can understand what he means though - most of the team have achieved everything they wanted to at this club, and it's time for them to seek a new challenge to avoid it becoming stale and repetitive and struggling to motivate themselves. They helped the club through the hard times, won lots of trophies and got to a Euro final - it's unlikely that anything they do will ever beat that - and now that the club has a new owner it is time to start a new chapter. The only downside to the people who have left/are leaving is that we arent getting a fee for them.
  5. If we start in the 3rd division, and there are no league restructurings, then in 2 years time we hopefully will be playing in the first division. If we're paying anyone more than 1k a week it wouldn't surprise me if we ended up in the same situation a few years later.
  6. If he's still here then it makes sense to have Broadfoot in central defence with all the game time he has. If any of the players we have left don't get their positions then they're as well as leaving.
  7. it was a tough act for anyone trying to follow hutton, and tbf even he got a fair few pelters from the support for being a crap defender too. i'm not going to criticise his defending, it's not his fault he was played out of position. pretty sure he was a midfielder, not a right back? getting sent off in europe was stupid, but that durmaz was a dirty diving fucker and i'm pretty sure if it was broadfoot or anyone else the result would have been the same. but he's not our player any more so I dont care about him.
  8. We tried to portray him as our future superstar while Celtc and the media were fapping themselves silly over Aids the traitorous lesbian, but he either didn't have the ability or the right attitude.
  9. I really don't believe that he could pass the medical. If he does start playing regularly then it shows that either our medics are useless and need to leave immediately, or he was just refusing to play for us. Also, Danny Wilson is nothing without Weir supporting him. I bet Weir would have made Svensson look like Maldini.
  10. wouldnt surprise me in the slightest if he was to have a miraculous andy webster type recovery as soon as he left the club tbf.
  11. it's good that advocaat is being shown up for the useless chequebook manager that he is. edit: i'm confused, how can they be third yet have a better goal difference?
  12. I have no problems with having a fresh start.
  13. I hope liquidation and this whole shambles gets rid of people like you. These issues have nothing to do with Glasgow Rangers. If you really care so strongly about these issues, I hope you're volunteering at - and donating to - charities aimed at tackling the subject instead of just mouthing off on the internet. The club are hardly whiter-than-white at the moment, and our fans have a far from clean history, so I dont really think anyone is in any position to be pointing any elbows.
  14. anyone who gives up on the club is just a glory hunter.
  15. Advocaat was given everything he asked for - players and a training complex - to the tune of nearly £100mil, and he kept falling at the first hurdle. And then when he was faced with a challenge and things got tough he ran off upstairs. I dread to think the situation our finances would be in if he had got any of the really expensive players who didn't want to play in the SPL.
  16. Does he have a sell on clause?
  17. I bet "Dirk" has made a few bucks since taking all these Russian oil funded jobs, he should be able to pay us back for all the mistakes he made...
  18. It depends how much they are asking for. That's Naismith's second major injury, so if he really is on 20k p/w we need to be looking at either a reduction or some clauses. I'm sure Sone will be on a sensible amount.
  19. supposedly he's at the Reebok to sign, so we'll see who changes their opinion of him now.
  20. Sure, they may have avoided paying tax, but didnt they say that investing in film companies was a legal way of avoiding tax?
  21. Surely it cant be legal to have an SPL chairman on the board of the SFA? Or is it like a system where every SPL chairman gets to have a position for a year or something?
  22. having a CVA in place before the result of the BTC is nothing short of the work of an genius mastermind tbh. and for it to come into effect on a day on a day that the fans hold close to their hearts is just spectacular.
