  1. A postcard from a Canadian tour in 1954. Found among my late father-in-laws effects.
  2. DJ like everyone else has an opinion on McCoist....He's entitled to that. He isn't a "former club legend" as someone in the thread alluded to.....he IS a club legend and always will be. His view of McCoist is obviously tainted by friendship, he won't come out and say he has been woeful and in the process publicly, slating a friend and fellow bear. If you listened to the phone-in last night he made more than enough reference on numerous occasions throughout the phone-in saying that if the board isn't satisfied with how McCoist is handling the team then it is up to them to sack him. Of course he knows McCoist isn't up to the job, he just hasn't the heart to publicly stick the knife into a fellow bear.......Maybe he takes this loyalty thing seriously eh?
  3. No way....The guy is bhoggin wee ned.
  4. I would like to see him back in some position that doesn't undermine Ally, maybe handling the media and press and being there for Ally should he need advice. I think Walter handles the media and press better than Ally does and is able to control the interviews better....Doing that would take a load off of Ally's mind and he could concentrate on the players and training.
  5. Walter back in some capicity.....Good thing or not? Smith admits to feelings of ‘guilt’ and offers to help Published on Monday 27 February 2012 04:03 FORMER Rangers manager Walter Smith has admitted he feels “guilty” about leaving the Ibrox club at the end of last season and is ready to help out his old club in their hour of need in an “advisory capacity”. Smith stepped aside after leading Rangers to a third successive SPL title last May to let his No 2, Ally McCoist, take up the reins. He is now sorry he left after seeing Rangers go into administration and fall way behind Celtic in the title race after being hit with a ten-point penalty. “At the time, I felt it was the right time to leave Ibrox,” said Smith. “But when I try to take in everything that’s happened recently I really do feel guilty. “If I’d stayed another year at least, I would have had all my experience to fall back on. Instead, Ally McCoist, Kenny McDowall, Ian Durrant and Jim Stewart have had to handle this dreadful situation in their first year in charge. “I really do feel badly about exposing them to all that’s gone on since I cleared my desk. So if someone was to ask me now if I’d return to Ibrox in some advisory capacity, I would.” Smith, who was on a holiday in America with his wife when the administration move was confirmed, added: “There is no way Rangers will cease to exist. There are far too many people with pride and love of Rangers for that to happen. “From a personal point of view, I’ll do all I can. However, it’s not me they’re needing, it’s Roman Abramovich. That doesn’t mean I can’t help, though. Same goes for all the thousands and thousands of ordinary Rangers supporters. Everyone with any feeling for this great club will contribute in every way possible.”
  6. After today no chance. None whatsoever. We showed up, the team didn't.
  7. Murray led us to where we are today and we for along time were happy to follow on....It's not a question of blame, it's a question of not being taken for a ride again.
  8. I'm sure those among our support who still regard Whyte as a saviour will show restraint and contain themselves.
  9. Capiche?.....Ca..fuckin..piche?......a fuckin roman taig no less.....nuff said!
  10. Why? should I?.....are you recommending them mate?
  11. Agreed! At least your big enough to admit to it....Well done.
  12. Well intended post by the OP, my fear would be every penny raised would go to creditors and staff would still be cut.
  13. you missed the 'u' in fucking.
  14. Yes,like your not listening will see the demise of a radio station.......wake the fuck up.
  15. I listen to most media outlets and read any newspaper.....I am too intelligent not to.....Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. These guys who post that they won't read this paper or that paper or listen to Clyde or whatever are hilarious.....Catch a fuckin grip and grow the fuck up. Oh by the way Richard Gough was just on Clyde...suppose that makes him less of a bear too?.....FFS!
  16. Our club is one of great tradition my friend, integrity is at the very foundation of that tradition "shysterism" in any form should find no home within the walls of the greatest institution in the world....Glasgow Rangers. Lay that kind of shite where it belongs...at the gates of the ploughed fields and hawker fuckers who plough them.
  17. You must be oot a fortune on band-aids mate walking around with those blinkers oan aw day......Take them aff FFS.
  18. There are no beans my friend, like MR.Whyte, smoke and mirrors are all they have to offer.
  19. It's a small victory for Whyte, whether it's any kind of a victory for us as a club remains to be seen.
  20. Yep, that describes perfectly a fanny man.
  21. If he does, hopefully he can get Whyte to stand directly behind him when he pulls the trigger.
  22. If you think anyone else other than Murray had the final say on that board mate you are severley deluded. Unless you have inside information you know nothing of what any of those board members said or didn't say to Murray regarding the situation. I don't remember many fans shouting Murray down during the glory years, when we were buying some superb players for the club under him.....A lot on here wise after the fact.
