Would love to see Rangers play with this type of adventurous formation, or even the popular formation on the continent 4-2-3-1 which I would picture to be fairly similar to your suggested team. There is two ways to look at this formation though, its to an advantage that Laff and Naisy on either side work very hard, but always worry that they drop too deep and we become a 4-5-1, which happened alot in Smith's reign when we played this formation. In europe, Lafferty and Naisy could drop that wee bit deeper. Jela is the closest we've had to a complete forward in years, as long as he gets the support around him, and if Fleck was too play in this role he could feed the balls through to our frontline. In an ideal world Fleck would have been loaned out by now, and have played a full season, playing week in week out. I agree with some peoples opinion that he hasnt been great when he has played for us (apart from a few games when he made his breakthrough), but the staff at Murray Park have been talking about him for years as a massive talent, whether we have seen it yet or not he must have something special to his game. I just worry that IF we were to let him go, he would rip up the championship and become the next Charlie Adam! We should all remember though, that this guy is still only 19. Writing someone off at 19 is silly.

Maybe when the deadline is approaching and the English squads know their 25man quota's for the coming season we mite see Whyte put his money where his mouth is. Do agree though that the squad is looking extremely bare. We need a left back (although wouldnt have said its our priority). Dont know much about Danns, but not exactly excited. Cuellar would be an excellent signing IMO. Goodie as well as long as we dont get mugged off for him. Naismith was of a similar stage in his career when we got him, and he took a good 2/3 seasons to come of age, we need someone whos good just now, not another 2/3 wait. Saying all that, I reckon Ally will be wise with what money he has, and we have missed out on conway, hamed and vaughan because of high wage demands, but maybe he didnt think they were worth paying over the odds for, just because we have a new owner doesnt mean we can go back to the days of spending whatever on whoever. We have to be realistic.

Bumped into mcgregor day after we won the league this season, was on the same flight as him and his misses to Dubai. Him and his burd were arguing in Boots, and heard him say 'not even away yet and your already doing my nut in' lol true story. Met Papac, Novo, Andy Waster and Darchville when I worked in Clydesdale Bank in Bearsden. Possibly some others but canny mind off hand. Alot of them had Clydesdale accounts and Andy waster earned over 20k a month, i checked his account hahah. Met Charlie Adam and Arteta in Magaluf. Charlie Adam was back pumpin some burd at the same apartments as us. He was a complete Knob. Arteta was sound as pound. Proper remembers his time at Ibrox Didnt realise people were mentioning driving alongside them too. Therefore drove beside Big Jig, whitaker, edu (loads of times), beasley, john fleck. Also met Walter Smith at SECC car show when I was about 10 lol. Emmm. Worked in Mcdees wen I was younger and Lovenkrands came through drive-thru all the time, fussy bastard! Also seen Billy Dodds in the bookies (as well as alot of the youth players). I personally would prefer more 'champions' and less english teams in the champs league proper. Obv not going to happen due to finances, I think it was better when 'lesser' european teams would come good every few years (eg. Steaua Bucureşti, Porto, Ajax, Red Star Belgrade, Notts Forest to name a few) and go all the way or to the final etc. That was a proper EUROPEAN competition. But now its the spain/italy/england/germany select. I reckon the top seeded 'champions' of europe should go straight into the group section. Unseeded champions play each other for spots in group stage And the 2nd/3rd/4th place teams from European big leagues should all play 2 or 3 rounds of qualifers vs each other to qualify. There would still be good TV money in Arsenal/Bayern/Inter/Real etc playing a few rounds of qualifers at the start of the new seasons, no?

Would be gutted to see him go after 1 year, not even a full season. But would be good to have the cash to rebuild ally's team. I doubt we would ever get more than 13mil for him, even if he scored 50 goals next season for us. Can always hope Man City hijack Utd's bid, a nice wee 20mil would be ideal

Hasn't he been playing upfront recently, and the end of last season, when his runs of better form seem to take place ??? IMO he isnt a left midfielder. He cant hit the by line, cant cross, and can only cut inside. Maybe in a 4-3-3 he could be a left inside forward, but for me isnt not a LM. Just my personal opinion. Hes a nightmare for Centre backs to deal with, and gives them no time on the ball whatsoever.

def think there is something more to him than what we've seen. His determination is incredible. Agreed he isnt worth the price we paid. Really wish he would come of age and step up to the plate with 15-20 goals a season. Maybe mccoist will get more out of him? Def think we need to remember hes played left mid for us ALOT. Hes clearly a striker IMO

would def send him out on loan next season if we can bulk up our current squad a bit. I dont think we could have this year because of our small squad, and pretty sure we had plans to play him more this season (getting novo's no.10 shirt showed that) but hasnt worked out for him this year, and now his confidence is low. Who would have thought that Wylde would have played so many more games than him at the start of the season? Hope we can utilise his potential into talent, because I think we all know that if sold, he will prob be a cracking player down south in championship and eventually in the EPL. Alot like what happened with Adam.

Still baffles me that people would rather him than Torres (world cup winner 2010). Yes the price tag is shocking, yes he is off form, yes hes shite, yes jelavic is quality and probs better finisher. However, what has Jelavic done, he has a few caps for his country, and scored goals in austria and scotland. Comparing him to Torres, who has scored lots of goals at international, la liga and EPL level is surely a wee bit premature, regardless of how biased us Gers might be. Jelavic is the best player I've seen in the SPL for many years. Funny thing is the majority of the C*ltic fans dont even think hes that good yet.
