  1. Perhaps a warm up pre- match track at best. 35,000 singing it would sound like a car crash. On the subject.. Bit of Tainted love over the tannoy for timmys ears
  2. I'd like to see us look at the Dutch youth set up. In particular Feyenoord who have gone through the same as The Rangers are currently. We have outstanding training facilities that could match any top European club. No reason why our youth players coming through shouldn't. Would love a stadium revamp looked at. We have always taken the lead with this and I'd like the govan corners looked at being replaced with seating. The subject comes up a lot and structure issues etc arise but surely can be overcome. Standing area being introduced in the enclosures to help the atmosphere back to former glories. Jardel, Alan Smith & Robbie Fowler finally putting pen to paper. Turn the PA system up a notch
  3. It's a great idea worth looking into by any new owners but the parkhead game beam back wouldn't be allowed by the cops. Surely it has been looked into before? Has to be things.. Deals etc stopping it. My first trip to Ibrox was a beam back when we lost out on 10 in a row.
  4. Our last match v Hearts did not sell out so that reply holds no water. I can understand your view that you would rather all costs went to Rangers but I cannot understand why you are persistent in trying to make this campaign which can only be described as a brilliant show of loyalty to our club as a waste of time because £2.50 goes to manufacturing - tickets / merchandise / traveling to matches all have costs which do not go directly to the club.. But we still pay because we are the people.
  5. And again.. See below Why be an idiot towards such a great cause that again shows our loyalty and support for our club. It's a show of support both visually and financially. All costs above manufacturing goes directly to Rangers and bringing the next generation of Rangers support to the brox through tickets to schools etc. this again proves the great spirit of our support. Also.. Your argument that the £2.50 manufacturing costs should be directed to Rangers is clutching at straws. I've a season ticket.. But when travelling to Ibrox I'll take the subway and buy a few pints, are you saying I should just walk and stay clear of the pubs because this money is not going directly to Rangers either. We are the People. Keep up the fight

  7. Not sure you get this red & black theme? I find it difficult that any bluenose is unaware that red and black make up a distinguished part of our traditional home kit. The point in choosing these colours is we all have red white and blue bar scarfs. The idea Is simply using other well known colours from our home kit for the scarf. An excellent campaign that again shows the loyalty of our support. Well over 3000 in such a short period of time. Watp
  8. Outstanding campaign and much respect to those who got it running. Actions speak louder than words. £18,000 raised in one day. We Are The People

  10. Regardless of the OP I'm surprised at the follow up posters anti religion posts. Or the uneducated nature of some of our support. I am assuming those fans of the anti religion element do not use the saying We are the people which is from the bible? Psalm 95:7. You do not sing the sash my father wore as if your father did indeed wear the sash he would have been a Christian Protestant promoting and protecting the faith. You do not sing our national anthem of God save the Queen. You don't wish to embrace The Rangers proud Protestant history ? Just me ?
  11. So much shite? I have stated above, nothing but fact fellow Bear. I also did not mention 'having to fly the union flag or being a protestant. Have a cuppa mate. I'm a member of the Armed Forces, my views aren't a script written by anyone else. My club and supporters pride in the Union is undoubted. I do voice my own views. I also put my life on the line to defend them.
  12. The OP did not mention pledging allegience with the English? He did not mention a ''must love england'' policy So here is an idea for you - Stop talking bollocks. Rangers have a very proud tradition of being a Scottish and British club, with a support that largely has pride in the Union. Our players are welcomed by a portrait of the Queen in the home dressing room before every match and run on to the pitch between a saltire and union flag often warming up to Rule Britannia, The Dambusters and The great escape. We are a club with undoubted pride in the Union (not england or the english) but our Union with our neighbours. You seem confused by this matter and have twisted the OP's original post to something it clearly is not. He is asking about how a nationalist supporter can support a club with such a proud tradition, history and support of the Union. We are More than a club
  13. Or.. You just need to get out of the house more, into the real world. What is said at a football match, especially Ibrox where other than section BF1, fan 'behaviour' can resemble that of a tennis match, what is said at a football match is a lot less than you will hear in my line of work in the armed forces. I don't know if you simply sit behind a desk in a quiet office then go home, close your curtains and listen to classic fm, barely leaving the house, it's difficult to tell.
  14. Section BF1 has been a welcome breath of fresh air to Ibrox, Hopefully they can grow in numbers and eventually have an impact on the other 3 stands.. There is no escaping the fact that our support and the Ibrox atmosphere at bigger matches has been dented by the almighty roar of Hullo Hullo welcoming opposition teams having gone. It made a massive difference to the atmosphere. We owe it to the team and ourselves to bring back this roar. We know what we have been told not to sing, surely as a support we can change a couple of lyrics. I hope the guys in BF1 can kickstart this and it will spread to the away support and then gradually back to the brox. We are aware of what we cannot sing about and we can go beyond that and bring back an acceptable version. Surely. The subject will never go away because it should be done. We are the people.
  15. What is done is done. The Rangers showed promise tonight. All eyes should turn to our new owners cheque book which he has promised but we've yet to see. I also heard that we may have taken celtic seeded status away from them in the Europa play off's. Can anyone shed light on this?
  16. No matter where Rangers play in the world, No matter the restrictions or sanctions. There will be Bears there watching the team. Some are travelling from Scotland but we have a world wide fans base which will include many living in scandanavia. Rangers have done their part. If any scots travel over and gain entry into the ground then that should be a problem for Malmo. Follow Follow
  17. I can't be the only well educated bear that thinks a normal, legitimate and perfectly ok response to chants and songs about.. rebelling against the crown (over the tannoy), let the people sing - their battlecrys (over the tannoy), Brits out now, Pat McCourts fenian army, I joined the IRA, P.I.R.A, Our lives are pledged to Ireland and go home ya H*** to name a few.. .. surely your famine is over, why dont you go home? Is an appropriate response. That opens a whole other can of worms but we were slaughtered and commented on by many and asked to stop singing this perfectly standard response to all of the above sung frequently by the celtic support. Lets just hope that by doing what is asked of us by the authorities the focus is finally put on them and their shockingly unreported and unchallenged song sheet.
  18. You have not read the original post correctly or took in what he is trying to say. What he says that grabs my attention is: I was shocked at how obvious their sectarian chants were I just want the same rules to apply to everyone Both true and valid points. They sing the same songs in the SPL as they do in UEFA competition. Illegal songs. However only Rangers have been punished and only Rangers have had to watch what they are singing in all competitions. That is double standards.
  19. It can be double standards as celtics song book does not change for european matches abroad or away matches in any competition. The IRA are a terrorist organization in the eyes of most of the world and the E.U. Yet they have been free to show support and sing illegal songs in all competitions including Uefa. Rangers however are not even allowed to respond with well your famine is over why dont you go home, which in freedom of speech terms would be a legitimate reply to songs of hate for our country and love for another. Rangers have been allowed to be treated unfairly by the media, uefa and there has been no outspoken board members to defend us... Until now.
  20. I haven't been posting on here due to Forces commitments. But as i return i am welcomed with.. .. beattie7 branding Rangers supporters boozed up bigots, needing shot down, fucking embarrassment etc. excuse me if i am wrong beattie7 but these supporters travelled and paid their money to watch the club they love. Your only basis for ripping into these Bears is false and innacurate media reporting. You.. are the type of 'supporter' that we do not need. I await what you evidence you have of these 'boozed up bigots' singing sectarian songs. The 12th of July celebrations mark an important part of the history of our isles and our country saying no to interfearence from Rome and marking the way for the Union. Something our club has undoubted pride in. Having a few beers and singing The Sash and Derrys Walls does not make you boozed up or a bigot. Just a Rangers supporter backing your club and showing pride in your history.
  21. I often wonder where they would have been If we hadn't have taken them in Fed them and washed them Thousands in Glasgow alone From Ireland they came Brought us nothing but trouble and shameWell the famine is over Why don't they go home? If your going to put up an argument, know the song and the sentiment behind it first.
  22. Wrong. We are telling them to go home based on their behaviour, actions and total lack of respect in this country. You just defeated your own argument
