  1. It is about time the people that cpunt within the club stand up for ourselves, their PR machine has been in overdrive. Too long did the old board sit back and not say anything througj fear of backlash, I hope that Whytes follows through on not just this statement but everything he has said so far.....the futures bright, the futures Orange.
  2. THIS! Let Ally get on with it, its not the first player we have lost out on and its not the last! Soon enough things will start happening, In Ally we trust!
  3. All fans will have different opinions, do you really expect everyone to agree? It is impossible for everyone to agree on every little detail of the clubs descions, its a forum, a place for people to express their different desires, wishes and opinions on how the club operates. I don't think you should try to sum up all of our opinions in one post, as nearly everyone on here will be able to disagree on one thing or another. To start a thread with 'our fans' and then to go on and slate those fans is ridiculous, I for one welcome every Bears opinion 'fickle' or not. At the end of the day, we are all bears, and all entitled to our own view on the direction the club should be taken in. But the fact is we all want one thing....for Salim kerkar to sign a ten year dealfor The Rangers to have the greatest amount of success as possible.
  4. I think he means, not pushing for a transfer and only moving when its right for the club AND him. Rather than forcing us to find money for a new cb. He is a bit of a nob, but at least he is honest about it.
  5. I dont think Dick was brought in for that, think he was more there as a negotiator. A director of Football doesn't necessarily choose the targets, I think the only place where that has been the case is with Dennis Wise at Newcastle. Ally will pick his targets and smith will do the leg work chasing them, getting them signed he may suggest the odd player, and who knows when he does we might be lucky enough to sign a player of the same calibre as Kerkar.
  6. Maybe he can sort us all out some tickets for the away leg for our first European game.
  7. Agree'd he certainly wont be over-seeing any on field related issues, I am sure Ally will be on the blower to Walter for that. I have a feeling Ally will be telling Smith(Gordon) who he wants, leaving him to concentrate on getting the team ready for the new season. May turn out to be our most important signing of the close season if we are (hopefully) inundated with new arrivals and contract renewals.
  8. Probably not much in terms of transfers, seen as we have renewed about 3 contracts in that time. Also it cant hurt to have an someone on board who's job it is to make sure transfers and contracts are getting completed on a reasonable time scale, our current contract process is about as much use as a chocolate fire guard.
  9. My Dad says he used to be an agent, so I can certainly see why he has been brought in, most probably take over most of Bains duties, and help Ally with any wheeling and dealing. A good appointment, if true.
  10. How could you possibly know that?
  11. Because its Scotland anything that helps out Rangers (even when it helps out there own team) would never happen. Would really like to see it happen though, it would improve the standard of football across the whole country, increase the fan base of our own team, the gate receipts of smaller teams like Airdrie, Queens Park etc. You could even build a wee stand at Murray park and have that as our B teams home ground.....maybe im asking a little too much now! IT would probably be a logistical nightmare, but would really like to see it happen.
  12. Again I hope you're right pal, but what's to say we aren't currently in a payment plan or and this is what we are currently ranging about? Or due to legal reasons the hmrc can't Publish anything to do with tax case? I sound like a pessimist I know, just questions that spring to mind when I think about what you've said. Would be interested to see this document might Can your mate send you this information he has acquired under the freedom of information act? Might help us all have clearer understanding of what it is you have found.
  13. I hope you're right mate, if this was the case why would there be so much fuss around it?
  14. This could quite easily be the end of year tax statement, and that figure is what Scottish clubs owe from the tax year April 6th 2010 to April 5th 2011. I hope I'm wrong, but chances are this is the case as previous years do not need to be declared.
  15. Always thought this, along with it helping our club I can see it improve the economy in Scottish football, gate receipts etc. Can't see it happening though.
  16. It's not on the daily record site anymore, is this because it was a load of shite?
  17. Anyone got a wee link I can watch it on? In England so ain't got stv.
  18. Was Asking about this the other day. Is it written from quotes Walter has given in the past or is it a tell all story of his time as a manager?
  19. Craig whyte is actually a front for the Sultan of Bruni. We're rich!
  20. As inflated as that price seems, Bent is a proven goalscorer in the EPL, and correct me of I'm wrong is in the top 5 for goals across the past 5 seasons? Which in the EPL is a very valuable asset. It's all relative mate. They can afford, for the time being, to pay stupid money for players.
  21. Quality! Well up for this, my dad stays in Preston so we will both be joining the festivities that day! What's the best way to get a ticket?
  22. Calm down pal, I was clearly joking. Making light of the situation
  23. Nah, it will all be fine. Honestly, my mates pals uncle feeds George Osbournes goldfish and he heard that there is nothing to worry about.
