I think you need to relax, half the fun of the transfer season is discussing players, how they would fit in with your club, what they have done previously etc. Granted some suggestions are a not thought through all too much (like my zenden one) but we have money now and us bears havnt been able to get excited about a transfer window in a long time. Relax and in time we will get a feel for Allys buying style. There is nothing wrong with a few wild suggestions.

I agree he hasn't got much sell on value, but as a midfield stop gap until next season. One year deal? Might be worth a punt. Granted we should be investing in the future but I think his experience in Europe could be invaluable if we are gonna give it a go next season.

Whilst I agree with you to an extent, he had an air of arrogance and laziness about him. He bought three players from the same club two of whom were awful. He didn't take his time to understand the Scottish league and its players, he had an attitude of 'I have done it in France this will be a walk in the park' he completely under estimated the quality in Scotland. Granted when he joined I thought we had secured one of the worlds top managers, but to be honest I don't think he is, he is pish! What has he done in his career since Rangers and even before? most of that Lyon team were already in the youth set up when he arrived. So I am sorry I don't think it is harsh, because as a Rangers fan he did nothing for me and spent an awful lot on a load of crap.
