  1. I'm still fucked from last night mate, missus is tucked up in bed couldn't hack it haha. Days rest off it I reckon
  2. Afternoon bears. Sorry if it's in the wrong place just wanted to know the best bar to watch the game in dam. Nae chance I'm going to a bloody Irish bar for it, just haven't seen any bear friendly bars here yet. Thanks Edit:I'm staying on Apollolaan for reference.
  3. Aye I get what you mean mate, there's a decent winter pic on Google but it looks like it was taken in about 2006 on a camera phone so the quality is pretty crap, which is a shame because it's a cracking angle and the winter makes it look magic.
  4. Could win a league with him no bother. Look at septic, I'd say he's on par with Gordon, we just need a better more organised defence and midfield to protect him a bit more. Better full backs that actually back track and defend to relieve the centre backs would be good, players like tav and dj would be better as wingers, or to throw on as sub wing backs to make an impact when we are struggling to break teams down. Fod does make mistakes, but a lot of them aren't just down to him, shite defence and midfield leave him exposed. Least of my worries moving forward at the minute
  5. Anyone have any 1080p photos of ibrox? Wanting some wallpapers for my phone so hoped someone had some good photos of ibrox. Preferably winter with snow but anything considered. Thanks
  6. thought it was the caddie from happy gilmore getting a new gig
  7. Mate I felt like we'd pumped the Tim's and got took over by an oil tycoon haha. Buzzing. More money for smokes now ?
  8. not so true. I'd booked a hotel for Almere near Amsterdam, 29.12.17 - 03.01.18, 400 euros pay on arrival. Anywhere central Amsterdam was 800 euro plus. Had a look on Booking.com while bored at work, spotted the Hilton central Amsterdam price error. supposed to be 1350 euros, over 90% off, 150 euros for the 5 nights, in a King Suite with Breakfast included. Booked, paid, rang booking.com who told me it was a price error, they contacted the Hilton, they honoured the price, swiftly changed the price back up to over 1200 euros on Booking.com. So I'll be staying at the Hilton and eating 5 star breakfast for the vast sum of £26 a night, over the New Year. And to top it off, got free cancellation on my other hotel too.
  9. why is it whenever we get someone decent at the club, they are always absolute honking for us? Alves, Barton, Toral are the most recent that spring to mind. Alves, speaks for itself. 100+ caps for the european championship Portugal side only last year, still playing at respectable club level in Italy, played all over the world, so none of this doesnt know the game pish, hes played in tough leagues. Barton, championship team of the season the year we got him, loudmouth twat but a more than capable player who should have walked it here. played in the prem for years, france, and in a very good championship side. Toral, end of the day, you dont stay at Arsenal's youth team for as long as he has, via the Barca academy, if you dont have talent and ability. yet they all come here, and were (or currently have been to date) dreadful. I dont think it is necessarily the player that is the problem, I honestly think we could bring ronaldo in and hed be shite as well. So theres absolutely no point going for marquee signings because of late theyve never pulled through and been great for us. Thats why I reckon Mciness would be the best for the managers job. because at the sheep hes never had a big landmark signing - but he seems to get the absolute best out of what hes got and thats what we need. overperforming players that we can maybe actually get a decent fee for (god forbid we learn how to market and sell a player). the club needs to be looked at top to bottom to see why this is going on though, because i fear that even a manager who can get the best out of what theyve got wont be able to make much difference with how the clubs being ran, from a footballing perspective.
  10. Haha! We did play terrible. But still was a great memory. Later became a season ticket holder which after that performance was doubly stupid ?
  11. For me, it was Rangers vs Liverpool, August 2008. we got beat 4-0, Torres, Alonso, N'gog and I can't remember the other scorer, maybe Benayoun? I was 14 at the time. Missed 2 of the goals going for a pie and bovril haha. Feel free to post your first experience and some memories of it. WATP
  12. I was on a work training course in Carlisle, jumped in a cab with my Rangers top on for the cabbie to tell me how he'd beat us the weekend before for Annan. Embarrassing haha
  13. Aye its totally Pedro's fault that scumbag clubfoot egged jack into a booking (that the ref then 2 mins later thought warranted a red) and its totally Pedro's fault the ref chopped about 2 minutes added time off. The red changed the game and other calls in the game were shocking. The foul on dorrans was easy a yellow, possibly a red. But aye, cos a result goes against us its the cunt sitting in the stands fault.
  14. oh aye he is, but he doesnt tend to shy out of a tackle, and he can occasionally be strong and clean in a game. I'd hate him a little less if that was a lot more often though. I'd love to see him get smashed by one of our players and after hallidays performance in the semi that time, I'd hope it would have been him. shame it wasnt meant to be.
  15. haha. 15k a year sadly. I suppose so aye. I suppose I look at the likes of Dorrans, who was probably on better money at Norwich, and he wanted to come here and hes the same age as Mcarthur. similar situations. both at nobody clubs. Id get it if they were at a big club but. Just my two cents anyways. hope if we ever do get him hes not past it and just there for a last payday and to appease us fans for him "coming home".
  16. see how was just the first big name I could think of. I watched a program about the implementation of VAR in the bundesliga the other day. the room had a group of analysts watching the screens of various games across the division, and going over ref's decisions etc. I'm unsure if they were actually match officials or just analysts following the refereeing procedures or whatever. but you could have that, just video analysts with one or two actual match officials overseeing them kind of thing. I think mainly it would be a premiership thing, to see how it works out on a trial basis, and if successful, then roll out across the divisions. that way, initially, less staff/refs needed as theres only ever what, like 5 or 6 games happening at any given time in the SPFL premiership. RE your second point, thats why I think a main ref being responsible for overseeing the analysts needs to be someone from somewhere else - absolutely no chance of a bias or any reason to give dubious decisions. hence my how suggestion initially.
  17. Earn 60k a week and be in the most rotten team in PL history? getting pumped by 4 or 5 week in week out? and I don't even think hes getting game time that much this season is he? Fair enough he has no obligation to play for us because he is a fan. But hes been in the prem for 8 years or so, so you cant tell me finances are a crucial part of it. hes not young. Personally I would rather be the best and a key player in a shite league playing for the team I love earning 20k a week (realistically what we would be paying him) than earning double or triple in a dogshit premier league team thats freefalling into oblivion. Because he stands a chance of winning more than 1 fa cup. hell, the impact he could have amongst other signings, he may see european football. whether its champions league or europa league, the aspiration is there, and he would be a big help in achieving that and actually doing well.
  18. Fair enough mate, I did underestimate the cost to implement it. However, surely a sponsorship deal with the league could cover it. and it means we would have better matchday coverage with more cameras. yeah aye, that was ridiculous, but thats one or two incidents that i've seen with iffy VAR. you get 3x that in a single game up here. And the key is to have a top ex ref in the control room to be making the decisions. A Howard Webb or similar. you only need 2 or 3 to cover the whole league as they tend to be monitoring other games at the same time from a single location.
  19. shame that a bear is treating us more of an old folks home than a serious proposition to improve the squad and challenge them for the title - I mean, where is he gonna go where he can win anything? hed be on good money here, not that he needs a lot of it anyway. pisses me off with players like that. fair enough if they are in a title winning team or a club challenging for trophies in their respective leagues, but if I had the choice between say norwich or crystal palace and Rangers, I know where I'd rather be.
  20. Theres a difference between a battle and being a dirty bastard. like the foul on cardoso. I'd condemn any of our players that did that to an opponent. battle hard, go in for every tackle, dont shirk out of a challenge, but dont play to injure someone purposely. The lego muncher for them lot is what you describe, and he is a classless wanker for it. he'd be a bit more respectable if he was just fearless and battled for everything, but hes a dirty cunt and thats why we hate him. Totally agree we need more steel in the middle though. We need players willing to go into crunching tackles, drive the team forward.
  21. if you had the choice, youd probably pick De boer, so long as he was taking a huge paycut. not like he needs the money after the big compo he got out of crystal palace.
  22. yeah that is one potential flaw in the system, but I'd rather have the risk of that happening than hammer throwers getting away with murder week in week out. And as human as the refs are here, they are fucking shite compared to even say the premier league. VAR would be a fantastic addition with minimal risk and minimal cost to implement. just have an ex pro ref in the control room unbiased of course.
  23. ive always wondered this. Yeah, he may not be the blue cafu that we had all hoped, he has been found out a bit, but surely if you have the ability to take a good free kick you never lose that? its not as if the keepers are better or always saving them, he just seems to have forgotten how to do it!
  24. dont want pedro out yet by any means, but if he had to go i would love this to happen simply for big sam to do this. kick fuck out the players and the corrupt media. he'd of nutted brown if the lego muncher tried that shite on him.
  25. them doing well in europe sees those no marks get a sizeable windfall - 370k for each team this year which is a lot of money for your hamiltons and motherwells.
