The taigs know they aren't anywhere near as big as us, they are just having a " good" spell just now which is already showing signs of coming to an end. They have always been, and will always be, in our shadow. They know it, and they hate it!

True. The Indy ref has had an impact. It actually pisses me off when people abroad say sorry about the Indy result when they learn I am from Scotland. I remind them that 55% were proud to be British and Scottish.

I am not sure about that, mate. When I talk to people in the countries I have visited, many are pretty knowledgeable about the financial situation we had and as a result there is a lot more knowledge about us in general. It thus follows that many have a liking for us due to the horrendous time we had. This brings me on to fans of clubs in Scotland: there is a far greater level of hatred towards us now because we didn't die. Furthermore, many fans of other clubs have taken up a liking towards the scum as a result, where as before many probably had more of a liking towards us..if they had to choose. This is quite incredible, as I know of no country in the world where fans of another club would actively want another club to go out of business. The scum have played a big part in this, and have somehow- God knows how- managed to become the " good" guys in all of this. A very Scottish problem it seems. As a result, the scum have managed to drag Scottish football down to a pathetic level, but this seems to have gone almost unnoticed by other fans, many of whom I now view as scum fans, despite wearing a different teams coulours. It is brainwashing on a massive scale in this country, with the media the main instigators. If it wasn't for Rangers, then there would be almost zero interest in the game north of the border. Fans of other clubs know this, and this is probably why many are so bitter that we didn't go out of business. And being the biggest and most successful club just adds fuel for the fire of hate.

Do we have a bigger fan base in Scotland now than before we went to the lower leagues? The crowds certainly seem bigger, and I would say we vastly outnumber the scum in terms of support in Scotland. However, when I watched the New Years game in Edinburgh recently, I was surprised there were more taigs in the pub. Never used to be like that. Anyway, as I don't live in Scotland anymore, and haven't for many a year, I was just wondering what people's views were on this.

Spot on. After all the shit we have gone through in the last few years, a player giving the shhh to the fans makes many of us " upset and offended" unfuckingbelievable!!!! AND after scoring a goal ! If you are over 35 and are seriously offended ,then take a long hard look in the mirror and have a word with yourselves. May I suggest you get back to complaining about politically incorrect language and supporting feminism , as football is not a sport you should follow.

Bit off topic, but I genuinely feel we are becoming a good team now. Furthermore, we are a very young team. Also, we have a lot of home grown talent which is a good thing, too. Wes, Ross, Candeias, Tav, Morelos are all top drawer players with more to come. New signings including Murphy, Goss , John ( newish) are all good players too. Docherty will be a great addition also. With the team we have there is no reason not to win the league, as the taigs really aren't that good at all bar a couple of players. This season we are unfortunately too far behind , but next season... The key is the manager, he has to get the right formation and make it stick.

The thing is with football fans: if a ref is constantly booking players- we complain; if he isn't booking players - we complain. Some of our refs are pretty clueless, but I wouldn't want to do that job.

You're right about my " nonsense" comment. Apologies for that, not the way I usually do things.

I will agree, sometimes he is caught out of position. However, we have to weigh up his attacking qualities into the equation. Would you play him in midfield as opposed to defence? It's definitely a possible option.
