  1. I didn't say it helped him....the poster said he couldn't get a sunday league job, and I quote ''without exaggeration'' ,he has the highest coaching license available. You sound like the sort of chap who's got a poster of Ally on your dartboard.
  2. Your on the wind up surely, how many sunday league managers have the UEFA Pro license? must be some standard of division down your way.
  3. If we win the championship this year GOAT no one will remember your script. They will instead remember the man who stood up for Rangers when nobody else would, who had to concentrate on football whilst con-man after con-man betrayed him and our club. The man who brought us back to where we belong after disaster struck our football club. No-one will ever forget the contribution Ally made as a manager to take us back to the top-flight.
  4. It wasn't even 5-4-1! the website made a stupid comment and tactical understanding on here is a joke! It was like a 3-6-1 diamond, the wing-backs were very advanced and Law was playing off Miller. It's the same as the ''2 strikers'' myth, Everyone thinks you need to play 2 strikers to play an attacking system, Germany, Chile, Holland....none of these ultra-attacking sides play with more than 1 striker. It's how you play a system, not the name of it.
  5. System looks to me like a 3-6-1 diamond. Wallace and Foster will bomb on,the midfield will almost certainly take a diamond shape, with Law advanced and either Black or Jig sitting. Key point to this system is also with 3 centre-backs it allows Mohsni to get forward without leaving us short.
  6. He's not a youth, if you go by RM logic he's got 5 years left till he's a pensioner like Boyd.
  7. Ventura County Fusion's youtube page has a live stream of the Rangers game scheduled.
  8. Great business for Dumbarton, the stadium is only a decade old and doesn't have a lot of ''history'' attached to it, was previously the ''Strathclyde homes stadium'' anyway.
  9. You need to look at things with a degree of perspective, the season he left we had Boyd,Prso and Novo all in our front line ( and Le guen liked Sebo :'( ) The boy was never gonna game,Rangers would have been keeping him for League cup ties. Rangers allowed him the oppertunity to graft a career and well done to the lad for doing so.
  10. This has been an issue at Rangers for years,Look at McGregor, Klos, Goram before him, all excellent shot-stoppers, don't leave their 6 yard-box, wonder if it comes from the coaching staff.
  11. ------------------Bell------------------ Foster---Mohsni---Zaliukas----Wallace -------------------Black--------------------- Aird-------------------------------Templeton -------------------Law------------------------ -----------Miller-------Boyd-----------------
  12. FIFA 99 had Ibrox. Same reason they would have a stadium from Holland.
  13. I thought you could... I watched a few months back but can't seem to find it anymore, would be disappointed if they've scrapped it altogether.
  14. I was an avid viewer, they changed the name to ESPN FC and BT didn't pick it up. Used to be able to watch it online though.
  15. Great servant for the club, stayed in the 3rd division. I'll applaud him
  16. I think he's absolutely outstanding, he's a number 10 that looks nothing like a typical Scottish footballer. He has tremendous close control, technique and vision, reminds me in fact of Iniesta at a young age. I watched him last season get 4 assists in one game against Partick Thistle, I can't remember the last time I saw any player achieve that.
  17. Different types completely, Suarez likes playing in the channels, has terrific close control, scores all types of tremendous goals and is a lot quicker than you seem to realize. Ally was the most natural number 9 I've ever seen in Scottish football, if Ally was from a better country and played for a bigger club, he would be revered.
  18. Posters on here cry foul if we ''waste money'' on a free transfer, imagine what this site would have been like in the days of Amato, Flo and Michael Ball
  19. We had to let go of players who were out of contract, we're not exactly going to be receiving offers for players like Daly, Shiels etc. We had to reduce the wage bill to strengthen the squad, I think we've done quite well.
  20. The issue is changing lifestyles, coaching in this country was in a poorer state when the likes of Baxter, Johnstone, Cooper, Dalgleish were being developed, but kids played football back then, not Xbox's. Coaching is improving every year in this country and since the appointment of Mark Wotte as performance director the SFA have made strides, things will take time. And finally uruguay is the exception rather than the rule, Uruguay have a knack of producing outstanding players, whilst they arguably have a better team than Russia with a population of 143,000,000. Scotland is making progress developing players and coaches, and I believe over the next 5-10 years (that's how long it takes) this will become evident.
  21. I think he does, is it not Athens as in inside the state of Georgia in the US?
  22. A lot of posters in the first few pages of this thread owe McCoist an apology.
  23. If this happens.....we could blow Premiership sides away with Boyd and Miller.
  24. I don't see McCulloch losing it, but Wallace is 100% captain material
