  1. If TBK were in anyway serious they could have jointly outbid Bill Miller and if their biggest problem was Craif Whyte then they could have easily adopted the same New Co route that Bill Miller laid out from day one. Instead they jointly offered less and made it conditional on Craig Whyte acting like a true gentleman, pure fantasy land.
  2. Any CVA is up to Bill Miller and Duff and Phelps to agree with creditors. I don't think we should be individually or jointly wasting our time or money clearing old co debts, when that money will be badly needed to rebuild the team.
  3. He has my full support and I do believe his plan will work to get us out of administartion with our history intact.
  4. That's my understanding as well, in that his shares will be for a company with no assets or value, only debts.
  5. "Freelance online sports journalist" in other words he's so crap at writing he can't even get the gutter press in Scotland to give him a job.
  6. I had some hope when Kennedy came back to the table along with TBK, but their get out clause of having a CVA and getting Whyte's shares make it at best, unlikely to ever be achieved. Miller's plans for a newco before the season ends, while the old company either achieves a CVA or is liquidated to clear it's debts, before being bought over and amalgamated into one company again, seems the only route likley to succeed, both financially and keeping the history intact. So Millertime for me to.
  7. Not prone to having tears in my eyes while on message boards, but that had me going. Sad story, well told.
  8. I didn't think anything could chear me up but that worked, toally ace.
  9. Wigan 4 Greetin Barcodes 0, what price a Champions League place now
  10. FORMER Celtic director Dr Michael Kelly yesterday called on his old club to support cash-strapped Rangers in their desperate fight for survival. He said that it would be best for the Parkhead club and their fans if their rivals stayed in the SPL. And he added: “If Rangers were not in the top flight, Celtic certainly wouldn’t spend any money to strengthen their squad. “They could simply wander through the Premier League comfortably at the lowest of cost, so Scottish football, the quality of Scottish football, would suffer. “Sponsors and TV companies would invest less in Scottish football and crowds would be down if we had a top flight without Rangers.”
  11. Bill Miller, only one putting down anywhere near enough cold hard cash and actually having a business plan.
  12. I was initially quite encouraged by the idea of TBK and BK putting in a joint bid, but if anything they seem to be further from an acceptable offer than they were initailly with Ticketus. Miller's bid seems by far the best providing he can get some cooperation from the football authorities, and he has at least clearly laid out his plans to get rid of the bad debt while eventually preserving our club history.
  13. Balvenie, 15 year old single barrel here.
  14. I've got a nice bottle of 15 year old malt waiting to be opened if this goes well.
  15. My bets on three Hail Marys, but not with William Hills
  16. At the end of the 1999–2000 season, when the SPL was due to expand to 12 teams, Aberdeen, who finished bottom of the SPL, were due to compete in a three-way play-off against the teams that finished 2nd and 3rd in the First Division (Dunfermline and Falkirk respectively), with 2 of the 3 teams earning entry to the SPL for the next season. Falkirk's Brockville ground did not meet the SPL requirements so they applied to groundshare at Murrayfield. This was rejected by the SPL, who in 2004 accepted an identical groundsharing bid at Murrayfield from Hearts and one from Inverness, who had been ground sharing with Aberdeen for the 2004/05 season.[4] The play-off system was hence abandoned and Aberdeen and Dunfermline were allowed into the SPL for the following season.
  17. Tim from Tim Malloy who was the head of a sectarian Glasgow razor gang who targeted Protestants.
  18. You only have to look at how poorly the two best teams in England, by a distance, did in this years Champions League and then in the Europa League to see how over hyped the EPL is.
  19. Not a fan of Bayern Munich but was very happy to see them make the final a Spannish Free zone. Come on Chelsea.
  20. Montrose is the only 3rd division club I know the price for Adults £10 Concessions £7.
