  1. Division 3 and sit back and watch the carnage.
  2. Div 3, and then sit back and watch as the minnows gang rape Celtic via their 11-1 advantage.
  3. I think the danger with this whole thing is what is the difference between a pro-Walter rally and an anti-Green rally? I thought we were wrong with the treatment handed out to Miller by an active minority and really don't feel Green has done anything to warrant similar treatment. We would be better off leaving Walter's consortium to talk over a possible buyover of the club from Green, if that is indeed what they want to do.
  4. See how they now look at 1st Division as a way of hopefully keeping SKY TV deal afloat. So it appears their "Sporting Integrity" at all costs, doesn't include bringing an end to big TV money. I think we should tell the SPL straight let us in with no more sanctions or the next step is of our choosing, not yours. SPL have no power to demote us to 1st, 2nd or 3rd division, purely allow or not allow us into SPL.
  5. I would like to know so that I can get my Big Tax Case tatoo, with the right wording on it.
  6. I would have preferred Walter's consortium if they had got their act together on time, but they didn't. Green and his consortium are the ones that saved us from disappearing, and if Walter wants to own us now then he will have to come up with enough cash to make it worthwhile for Green to leave happy with a piece of good business. Over to you Walter, are your backers ready to pay him enough?
  7. I think we will shortly be seeing just how poor the quality of the SPL can become when as expected they vote to exclude Rangers and put the whole TV deal at risk. Love to know how teams that have struggled to pay taxes and players salary with RFC and TV money, are going to cope with the loss of both.
  8. Have Celtic even considered how hamstrung they are going to be by the other eleven, without the Old Firm veto on changes like gate money being split and equal distribution of TV money etc? Probably not as they are too busy joining in the anti-Rangers bilefest.
  9. Small finincial hit for us, but a bigger loss for any little team lucky enough to get us at Ibrox.
  10. Plus the £50,000,000 Barca will pay them for Hooper.
  11. I think it would survive short term, but it would be a slow lingering death as the remaining clubs have to cut the size and quality of their playing staff, to cope with their restricted incomes. More and more teams would be face the dilemna of administration and the SPL new rules they voted in, and as a result would struggle to come out the other side. The quality of the SPL, already low, would deteriorate even more and interest in a one horse league of low quality, would further erode TV and attendance interest. One part of that report "followers of SPL clubs might be more likely to buy season tickets because they weren’t going to be treated to visits by Rangers" is total nonsense. Most teams have their largest home support when the Old Firm are visiting, so why would half of the Old Firm not visiting, encourage you to start buying a season ticket?
  12. 10 September 1977 Rangers come back from being 2-0 down to Celtic with 2 goals from Gordon Smith and 1 from Derek Johnstone to win 3-2.
  13. None. They could have a mass execution of the whole Rangers squad and the Scottish TV and newspapers would still find a way to report it as being our fault.
  14. Never seen that one before, really nice.
  15. From Alasdair Lamont ‏@BBCAlLamont Neil Doncaster, asked whether the SPL should have a fit and proper person test to look at potential owners of clubs, says it's difficult......to come up with such a test that's fit for purpose. To illustrate his point he offers the following quote....ND: "Gandhi I think may have had a criminal record and ultimately you could say he'd be a fit and proper person to run a Premier League......club in Scotland, but he might be forbidden by such a test." Blue Army Faction ‏@BlueArmyFaction @BBCAlLamont Better break it to Neil, gently, Gandhi is dead.
  16. Derry City, founded in 1928, initially played in the Irish League, the domestic league in Northern Ireland, and won a title in 1964–65. In 1971, security concerns related to unrest in Northern Ireland meant matches could not be played at the Brandywell. The team played home fixtures 30 miles (48 km) away in Coleraine. Security forces withdrew their objections to the use of the Brandywell the following year, but in the face of insistence from the Irish League that the unsustainable arrangement continue, the club withdrew from the league. After 13 years in junior football, it joined the League of Ireland's new First Division for 1985–86.
  17. SFA have 21 days to consider what action to take next, which could be an appeal against ruling.
  18. I enjoyed that article and his compaison between the SFA and the Old Firm, to a pub square go.
  19. I would have preferred this to be aimed at Regan alone, as he is the one who should fall on his sword like Jim Farry did.

  21. I think they will leave the fine in place and ban us from Scottish Cup for a year. If they are allowed they might look at a suspension but deferred so that it only kicks in if we infringe the rules again. (Does anyone know if deferred suspension is even possible ?)
  22. He should accept responsibility and just go, but if he doesn't there should be pressure applied.
