Cheers for posting op, always good viewing

I sometimes had to stay away from threads until I got used to it It's just people letting of steam and giving honest opinions but the criticism of Ally 6 games into this bloody season was poor. Truth is that Scottish football has been shite for most of my life and that's why the club has always struggled to play like the top european sides. I remember our 9iar sides regularly looking stupid in Europe and I think they were once beaten by a pt team so I can't be too hard on this side when they are beating teams and running away with the title.

I'll probably be wrong knowing how much this shower dislike us but I can't see them taking titles after we were cleared in the btc. Surely RFC has been punished enough. All the stuff done to us whilst waiting on the btc result would be enough to satisfy a sadist. How much has this already cost us in players and lost income? Everyone knows this is a trumped up charge and that we have suffered more for financial problems than clubs who have bought opposition players and referees. Lets not forget we have probably also been denied our 55/56th titles Another march wouldn't be a bad idea but apart from actions which highlight these wrongs all the club can do is keep working towards its goals secure in the knowledge that it will succeed in achieving what is possible.

It feels mad to me that the issue of title stripping is still before us rather than compensation, public enquiries, apologies, sackings, and prison sentences. Japanese game shows make more sense than Scottish football.

So true, just getting to know about social media from this site is enough to make me realise that it can just as easily be used for or against us. Institutional bias is usually reserved for the likes of race issues but Rangers appear to be a race without refuge. I'm slightly joking here but there is a fair bit of truth in the idea that no other social group's institution would be allowed to be battered as we have.

It's the camera angles that undermine you as they play right into the sexist attitudes you mention. Give that up, write a good blog, get enough support and the angle is yours I admire the spirit and can't think of any females who do this, so best of luck

This was always unlikely to put it mildly with so many important organisations against the idea. The English would need to be firmly behind us for it to have a chance with all the fallouts and legal disputes it would cause. Why would they want us so badly right now? The Conference was never going to go against the wishes of its paymasters and it’s chairman was merely answering questions put to him by a radio station which had made a few phone calls to lend some flimsy ‘weight’ to the story. Any publicity is good for small leagues so it was unsurprising the guy was willing to discuss it on air. Everyone gains something from Rangers whether we are doing well or not it appears. Administration has left us like pawns with everyone hungry to take advantage. The rush for reconstruction and the seeming ease of the spl, sfa, and cfc in buying the cooperation of sfl clubs is an example of this. We will have the last laugh, of course, by becoming dominant again but how many among us still care about Scottish football after all the crap we’ve took and our insulting absence from reconstruction talks? I think putting our supporters off Scottish football will turn out to be the most damaging aspect of this past year. We are more determined to leave than ever and less likely to fund the rest now. We have had to put up with this as we need football and have no where else to go but this should change with a future European format looking inevitable. Good thing for Rangers is that any league would want us if you take away the sporting/legal issues. We have shown we can’t be ruined so it’s just about being patient. Hopefully we will see the start of this before my relatively new passport runs out

You must have been in a bad way last night. Not a great footballer by Rangers standards but he's set a good example this year and his goals have been important. Circumstances have no doubt increased his status in my eyes but that’s hardly his fault. Man’s done every thing that would be expected of a captain and will be well remembered by me as an important one for his contribution in leading us back to the top. Much better captain than Davis

Said the same to myself earlier. A bit shit is imo of it right now as you would think baton charges were more for serious unrest. Whatever happened with the UB was a lot less than what we're hearing about den’s park. It actually makes it look like our little radical corner is so small and civilised that the police have no qualms about charging in just to arrest people on minor charges. I didn’t like it at all, In 25 or so years I’ve never seen that at Ibrox . I had my young daughter with me and could see the panic in her face. I had to tell her it would be an idiot in the crowd as you want kids to have respect. But even now I think, at the worst it’s been a shove or punch thrown at a copper and we see scenes that scare children and could have set off a much maligned support. There was no noticeable build up to such a big decision being made. The police charged within minutes of a single copper walking back from the crowd. So it could not have been violently kicking off as I would have seen it. With the situation being a hugely attended football match with kid’s present I would have expected them to hold off from the aggressive tactics used and do something like the containment one they used at den’s park. They obviously knew who they wanted and could have waited. When the UB did try to walk they showed how easy it was to make arrests in this manner. But they had already charged in front of a packed Ibrox before then. It just strikes me as bonkers to do so for minor charges.

Silver have to admit I was annoyed by what I seen by the police but took the glasses of last night and realised BP9 and Jimbeam are right enough along with what your saying. The post says nothing. No doubt something more has happened than the post says but it would need to be right serious to justify a baton charge for me. It does seem that the charges against these guys are a bit minor for batons and horses to be used. Jimbeam meant to reply to your post earlier. Your right enough with the bit I mentioned above. No way would I prefer foreign cops, lol But what happened did not look any where near necessary and the charges are a bit soft for all that carry on.

Think people's thoughts on the level of difficulty has been the main issue with some feeling it should have been easy from the start whilst many thought it would take time because of the circumstances. I believed the latter but will not go through it all again as we must know all the points of by heart. I've never been 100% sure about McCoist myself, I just thought he deserved more time and that sacking him was something the club could do without. There was nothing wrong with most of the criticism as we were piss poor at times. People have already mentioned it was more the GTF stuff and bandwagon type phrases being used. Hopefully all that type of thing will be missing next time we have threads about the manager's future. Your right about the criticism worked theory, gave me a good laugh yesterday.

Must be my mistake as I thought you often used the childish 'Ally fanbois' and 'soul merchants' type of labels. But your posts on this thread show your above all that sort of nonsense. I'll just be glad to see an end to it as differences in opinion shouldn't lead to petty name calling.
