I don't think Ashley wants to run Rangers - that is too much like hard work. He just wants to skim off the revenue from merchandising etc. King, on the other hand, DOES want control. The important thing is that a successful Rangers sees them both win. Therefore, as pragmatic businessmen, it is in both their interests to find a way to work together and I hope they see that too. This, of course, would also be good for the hedge-fund managers and long-term investors. We are stronger with both of these men inside the tent.

Great article - shows just how far our game has fallen.

Did Ashley not swerve the share issue and buy from HH thereby denying us any dosh?

Gough was a legend (bit like the fanny in the dugout) but his credibility in this subject is shot. More sense from Wavy Davy

Wallace: Time to crank up power in Rangers push for title
TAFKA replied to Bothwellbear's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Thought for a moment our CEO had disengaged his cloaking device Oh well..... -
You can always hope What I was after was the thinking of those who still want him to stay? Why would anyone think Rangers are benefitting in any way from keeping McCoist on?
-
My point exactly. He's staying for the money (in my opinion) but I would really like to understand how any Rangers supporter (ie those who voted for him to stay) could possibly want him to stay a minute longer.

Could Ian Cathro Be A Potential Rangers Manager?
TAFKA replied to BlueSuedeSambas's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Is he any good at karaoke? Don't know about Ian Cathro, I'd take Ian Paisley over McCoist - and yes I know he's dead - still better than The Leech -
Vast majority of us would give a week's wages for a change of manager ASAP but, based on the poll and Gogzy's comments, there appear to a number of true Bears (not "guest" infiltrators) who still want to give McCoist more time. Now we all know the reasons why most of us think he should have gone a long time ago, so can I ask that this thread be devoted in the main to those who would give him yet more rope? The rest of us have had our say on many other threads so - over to you, the McCoist Loyal If you are one of the guys who voted NO to "should McCoist go?", please explain because we cannot understand what further proof you need. Thanks.

Can the SFA not arrange another international so that we can get both cup-ties postponed on the basis that we have a shite manager?

Rangers Talker: Does McGregor deserve central role?
TAFKA replied to Bothwellbear's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
McCoist running out of excuses to play this player out of position -
I appreciate that certain defenders of McCoist (the player) want to ring-fence those great memories from his abortion of a job as a manager. However, it is not that simple. He is taking money we really cannot afford and giving nothing in return. If he had ANY affection for the club, he would go to Wallace and say "can we work out a settlement?" But he is happy to soak up the cash knowing that every month is a bonus until even that useless bastard Wallace has to act. I got stick on here for saying that I now despise McCoist - well too bad. He is a parasite and is now actually damaging our club every day he remains in post. He is pulling us down and holding us back to the point where the club cannot take a single step forward until he is gone. What we SHOULD be discussing is how, within the bounds of civility, we can actually FORCE change as our board and CEO are clearly as useless as our fucking manager.
-
Would you take another year in the Championship...
TAFKA replied to RedWhiteBlue1872's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
If he stays, we will be lucky to go up. My main concern is that the board will wait until promotion is mathematically impossible before acting, ie another season in this league He has to go but it may take failure to go up to actually make it happen. -
We had first option on Gordon but McCoist felt we had enough cover in midfield
-
Amazing how many men who contributed to countless trophies and titles for Rangers are so easily rubbished on here. Butcher was a great captain, inspirational and worth any ten of the current squad. Some on here are even more easily offended than our mhanky neighbours

Michael Stewart in the scummer sun on Alistair and friends..
TAFKA replied to bawsburst's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Both say he is doing a poor job and that we should have built on young players playing attractive football - I take it you disagree with that? If not, then they ARE telling the truth!! -
Absolutely. He is putting his own bank account ahead of the club. He is a fucking parasite, nothing more. He used up all the goodwill a long, long time ago.

No-one is "siding with him" We are pointing out that he's reflects the truth better than "proper journalists" have done so far. Chill. -
Been saying for some time thatt McCoist is no longer the problem, it is with Wallace and, indirectly, the board. Wallace is CEO. He has been given hire and fire responsibilities like an MD. If his marketing, catering or security manager was not fit for purpose, he would be out. The footballing side is no different, It is clear, sadly, that McCoist has no self-respect or professional pride - he is milking us for every penny he can get until he is eventually fired. This is no doubt due to the fact that he knows he will never be offered another manager's position, even at lower league or junior level. My contempt for him has reached a level I did not think possible - there is no other former Rangers player - NONE - who I despise more than McCoist. As he seems determined to leech the lifeblood from our club, so Wallace must step up. Sadly, he looks weak, indecisive and spineless - not to say hopelessly out of the touch and incommunicative. We are in a bad place guys, a very bad place.
