  1. 'Content' should read 'contempt' ...
  2. Think he just needs to say less sometimes in interviews. Falls into the McCoist trap of trying to be nice to everybody. Bit of Jock Wallace tight lip would be welcome. Make the media people work for their quotes, and show your content for them. I think he'll regret the lines about celtic Park when he thinks about it. Having said that, I thought he handled the question about Jimmy Nicholl with a bit of dignity.
  3. If it had been the other way around, the narrative would have been 'celtic's reserves hold Rangers to draw' ...
  4. This is it - the performances against Aberdeen away and home, plus celtic today, and some of the other games this season, shows that they are capable of playing well and getting the results, even when the squad has been weakened. It's the lack of consistency that has hit us hard.
  5. Gave up listening to the Radio Scotland amateurs and fans with mikes a few years back. BBC coverage from England (5-Live etc) is fine, but the Glasgow mob are reeking. It's even worse when they have their tame former Rangers players on board.
  6. 3 months at least, actually, according to dodgy Dave.
  7. Nothing changes until King is gone. Anything that can speed up his departure would be great.
  8. Just pray that King walks away next month. The process of cleansing the Board and creating the possibility that someone might be prepared to invest in the club can only start when he goes. As long as he is around, the club is screwed.
  9. One thing is for sure - there is zero chance of any significant fresh investment in the club until King is out of the way. Unless we believe the fairy stories about AJ and his wonderful 'contacts' of course ...
  10. So, they have absolutely nothing to say about the latest legal humiliation suffered by the club's Chairman?
  11. These defences are at minor league level.
  12. I had forgotten that he was only away on loan. Thought he was gone for good. No place for him at Ibrox now, unless it's in the stands.
  13. Have a look at his performance at Clyde, and then tell me that this guy had any coaching ability.
  14. Ferguson was a loser at Blackpool and Clyde.
  15. I've nothing against ex-players being used in the correct way, and the employment of JJ is an excellent example of this. The difference with Ferguson is that he is a divisive figure, with no track record of success in any capacity beyond his playing days. I have no way of telling whether the stories about his negative impact on younger players around him when he was captain, and when he was coaching at Clyde, are true, but if they are, then I would seriously doubt that he could inspire our young guys.
  16. Club would be paying money to a guy with no obvious coaching ability or track record. if we want a cheerleader, there's a guy with a megaphone at the front of the Broomloan.
  17. Hope this is just a journalist making up a story. It would be a gross case of jobs for the boys, as this guy has done absolutely nothing in his dismal managerial/coaching career to merit a job of any kind at Ibrox.
  18. Yep,. They'll just keep punting it on, and on, and on ...
  19. King seems to think we will all be prepared to forget the (completely missed and failed) football and financial targets and objectives that formed part of the previous 'plan'. Groundhog Day. Let's start again, no harm done ...
  20. I expected a panic announcement too. Looks like a different sort of panic is at work - the type that produces paralysis.
  21. We just keep falling for these characters, the Whyte's, the. Kings, the AJs. Mediocre Scottish 'businessmen' who claim to be life-long supporters (true in some cases, fiction in others), and see the club as a vehicle for their ego-trips and financial shenanigans.
  22. If there is any reaction on Wednesday it should be directed at the Board. They have been presiding over a financial and footballing shambles for far too long.
  23. I'''m a shareholder but can't be at the meeting. I suspect that the Board will do all it can to avoid taking difficult questions. The big question, for me, is: 'exactly how far adrift are we from the financial and football performance objectives in the Board's plans, and what is the immediate, medium and long-term strategy to correct the failings?'. Second question would be: 'Does Mr King have any comments to make on the apparent failure of his plan to attract significant extenal investment, and to what extent can this be attributable to potential investors' lack of confidence in his leadership of the club?'
