  1. De Boer aside (and he won't be within our reach), it's a depressing list.
  2. Best summary I have read for a while. Those celebrating at the moment are in for massive disappointment in the months ahead unless the points you raise here are addressed.
  3. I'll not be renewing mine until I know who the manager is. The list of numpties being touted for the job don't inspire confidence.
  4. Most of the names on the list give me the fear.
  5. We should be so lucky, to get someone like De Boer. It will be one of the Scottish numpties.
  6. Conference call? Not only does he miss key games, he even stays away during a major crisis. Now watch him try to pull a stunt to get the season tickets renewals.
  7. Absolutely. Buck stops with the Board, who are now presiding over a total shambles.
  8. It's not impossible if the right level of funding support is there, which it isn't at the moment. I fully appreciate that the wages we are paying to the current squad should be more than enough to produce better results and more consistent good performances, and it's clear that something isn't working as things stand. I'm just not convinced that any of the names being mentioned as possible replacements (ie the 'realistic' names, not the fantasy ones) would really do any better. The likes of Calderwood (!), McInnes, Davies don't strike me as guys who will take us to the next level either. It's a minority view, I know.
  9. So what he's saying is part of a bigger agenda.
  10. Let's see: we have a former Celtic player writing a piece for a rag that's in a commercial relationship with Celtic FC ...
  11. And Scot Symon was sacked before him.
  12. Meanwhile, from where I was sitting today, McKay the '£6 million' superstar was back to his usual game - failing to take on defenders, tracking back constantly, looking for Wallace to pass to. Expect to see him turn in another good performance in about six weeks time, or when his agent is touting him around before the next transfer window.
  13. He's certainly not a clinical goal scorer, that's for sure.
  14. An excellent article. Hits the nail on the head. My worry is that King and co will ditch Warburton and replace him with one of the 'good old boys' just to buy themselves some time.
  15. Yes, some of them certainly give that impression. It's back to the money though - did he miss out on first picks because the cash wasn't available?
  16. Yes, that's the core of the issue. This board has no money and has failed to raise the additional cash needed to sustain a challenge in the top division and a reasonable showing in Europe. The wages being paid to the current crop of players should, however, be enough to keep us above the likes of Aberdeen and Hearts.
  17. Correct. People are dreaming if they think this board is going to lay its hands on the sort of money needed to recruit a manager with a high profile and track record (plus the level of budget such a man would demand). They might try to appease the fans by ditching Warburton and bringing in one of the usual suspects as a quick fix. That would lead us nowhere.
  18. Me too, but people need to understand that he's only here because of Warburton. Credit where it's due.
  19. Does Warburton get any credit for bringing Hyndman in? Only asking ...
