  1. BBC Alba always puts me in mind of the sock puppets from Chewin the Fat
  2. It's the singling players out and talking about them I don't like. PM should simply side step that and confirm his support of Warburton and that they'll do all they can to support his plans for the team. That then tells me he's doing what he should be doing and Warburton's doing his job. I'm sure the latter is, just not convinced about the former.
  3. I agree, so comment on that rather than worrying that he's 35 or Warburton knows him, etc. We need players in so can't be fannying about waiting on people deciding whatever the reason is. He's no world class player that is worth waiting on.
  4. understandable, that's not the impression thats being given though
  5. Talk is cheap, I know we fans want to know what's going on but the time for board members and management staff to be talking about other team's players are when we've signed them. If you want Scott Allan, he'll cost money so pay Hivs what it'll cost and sign him. if not, shut the fuck up about him. Same goes for Eustace, if he's played at Championship level for most of his days and a club like Rangers come in for him at 35 and he needs time to think about it....move on please!
  6. Gotta love the "classics" but I do have fond memories of "Sebo's on, we're takin' the piss"
  7. Said it before as well, I don't have an issue with looking at a younger player that's done well within a lower league and taking a punt on him. It hasn't worked, he hasn't improved but part of that blame should lie with the shitey coaching thats gone on at the club. He's had his chance now so can move on with no ill feeling toward him.......unlike some of the other wasters and traitors that can rot in hell
  8. My eldest was born just at the time Wallace scored after Amato ripped the piss out of Stubbs on the wing.....the radio was on in the delivery room; celebrated the goal as I was handed a new born and had to settle myself very quickly. Watched the goal rerun when I got back up the road....happy days so loved the guy for that moment alone.
  9. Carried himself the way that the bald muppet should've had as soon as he got the job, let alone the mess before that. However, tactically naive and was found out against a poor Motherwell side but should leave with his head held high.
  10. I can't make up my mind whether we'll be shopping in the freebie / bargain basement buys for another year in the Championship or whether a statement of intent will be made by the board this summer. However, if Wilson was going to the mhanks I'd have thought they would have announced it by now so it wouldn't surprise me if he ends up at us.
  11. Unlike some times when Murray chucks in the towel, I think he sniffs a win here. In tae him Andy!
  12. This forum is quite enough for me! All I meant was there's plenty younger players that could do a turn without regurgitating shite from Scotland.
  13. Voted yes but as others have said, investment and players are required as well. If the board come out with the right sound bytes, put their money where their mouths have been for 3 years, then the new manager comes out with encouraging buys and sound bytes then ST's will be purchased.
  14. I was quite impressed with Long in the Motherwell game, albeit he's contracted to Sheff Utd. At 21 and 6'4, I'd be much more encouraged that we were considering someone like that rather than someone in their 30's; irrespective if the Samson story is true or not. We'd get a few seasons out of someone like that and, if he left in contract, we'd at least attract a fee.
  15. no one mentioned them as a dream team or the other two at all so wind yourself in. Advocaat is unattached now and if we pay any fee at all during the summer, the manager is arguably the most important. We're only discussing names at this point
  16. Be quite happy with them too....Brentford played some good stuff last season and it should be a huge improvement on the dross we've been served in years
  17. Not sure Nerlinger would come but could replace with Advocaat as DOF with Cathro operating below. I'd quite like them to be a bit forward thinking and go for someone like Cathro. I'm dubious whether our board share that view. I have an awful feeling that we'll have an "old boy" at the helm.
  18. Andy Halliday is out of contract are Bradford, having been with us as a youth and moved to Boro through Ross County. At 23, he's the kind of player we should be considering.....not him necessarily but that sort of age and experience.
