I agree to some extent about the quality of football we've been playing and I thought he was weak last season after shipping the 15pt advantage with a mere whimper from the team and no change of tactics. It also hasn't been good this season so far but I put that down to the shambolic start of only getting our licence and bringing in players a matter of days before the first game. However, the way he carried himself following 14/2 until CG started becoming vocal means he DESERVES our support for at least this season. The quality of football will need to improve, yes, but once the team is settled I'm hoping this will come. Confidence will breed good football and that'll come once we've stretched away from the pack.

As mentioned in the OP, I just like the fact that we're all singing along to something that can't ever be construed as sectarian so encouraging families to go along and having that friendly atmosphere that will help us win friends in the lower leagues. Most people looking from the outside in to the Premiership are envious of the money it generates - all supported by Sky, if that disappeared (unlikely as it may sound) then there would be insolvencies galore!! That money certainly allows them to buy a far better quality of player than, say, we could ever afford but Newcastle and all but one of the clubs in that league will never be as big a club as Rangers. I don't mind Newcastle, great team to watch in the 90's and love the passion their fans have but don't like Pardew (as mentioned earlier). However, if Ashley wants to shove a few players our way on loan because theyre not in the squad of 24/25 for the Prem then I'd be happy.

I'd like to say Little but I'm not convinced he'll play every week like Sandancer plus the latter is a greedy bassa! If he was played through the middle week in week out, Little would outscore the whole league.

I'm sick of seeing peanut teeth on the TV with the black training top on with the tricolour all the way round the inside of the collar. We should have any colour of top we decide on, more so if there appears to be massive potential for selling them - maximise profitability!! If it's orange, it's orange - the message to the moaners would be "get a life and stop worrying about what Rangers do". We could also use the GB team template and release a white top that has a big union flag across the chest - that's the same as the mhanky's tricolour surely?? Alternatively, the official argument behind the orange could be we are celebrating our connection with the Irn Bru leagues and tell them that's where you put us now shut the fuck up!

Yeah I thought the same, very decent full back, if not just a bit wee. Not knowing age bracket or who we was but we could do worse than bring guys like that to our club if he's young and try and develop them with F/T coaching etc.

I can only mirror what most have said, move him on and let Perry play. I was also quite impressed by Emilson when he came on, albeit the game was finished as a contest long before that. He looked much more comfortable on the ball than, say, Goian or Clubfoot so would be quite happy moving on Boca and Goian and playing Emilson and Perry at CB, then trying to bring in Hegarty as cover for those two during the season. I'd like them to develop Perry and Hegarty over a period to try and have them grow into the role when arriving at Div1 or the SPHell.

Not wishing to pat ourselves on the back, it would be interesting to hear what the Shire fans / players thought of the reception our fans gave them. For too long, SPL clubs / fans / media have been all to quick to point out questionable songs and that the Rangers fans are just full of bigots singing endless songs that are sectarian. Whilst the "friendy" atmosphere will never sell papers in the media, it would be nice to hear some feedback from these Div3 clubs.

Hard to be critical after winning 5-1, no matter the league. Lacklustre start and still creaky with 3 at back and so far apart you could drive a bus through, three sitting midfielders that you could throw a blanket over at times in the 1st and the two wider players couldn't go past their full backs. McKay was a standout and Little proved he'll get us goals. McCoist pushed MacLeod further forward in second half and team seem to have better structure then. Early doors so the team still looks a bit short of match sharpness and a bit disjointed at times but streets ahead of last week's shambles. Hopefully, theres only improvements to come but well played boys, a result that sent the packed house home happy!!

MacLeod had a better second half than he did in the first; you could have thrown a blanket over the middle three most of the time in the 1st but he pushed forward in the second and had a bit more influence on the game.
