Months ago I opened my own business here in Houston, no one online knew/knows (till now). I am so very grateful that I have so much work it keeps me busy more than 12 hours a day, 7 days a week,.. and have a full schedule two weeks in advance. With such a good thing happening in my life it does not feel right to complain. BUT... I do often catch myself complaining, and pouting, cause I don't have much time to listen to the shows, or even participate on RangersChat at all much these days.
I had came here to give the members here on Rangers Media a great big "THANK YOU!!" .... You guys here are just a wonderful bunch, and with you all helping spread the RangersChat word, and dropping in now and then we were able to pass 1 million site hits, 1 Million show listens, and just showing that when a site really is "for the people, by the people" it will succeed! ... then I read this thread and seems I missed more than I even knew I missed, and that "happy, happy, happy, YAYYYYYYYYY" smile I had on my face has melted. Think I will go kill myself now.. love you guys!!.. miss you all .. and even with the stuff it seems is going on I still would like to think you all here at Rangers Media, members and staff, for the past help and support us at RangersChat have received from you all! ... xxx

sorry for the few hours of down time yesterday... the servers went down to the changes made over the weekend if you just must know the tech details ill list them at the bottom of this post so I dont bore all the people who could care less. I would like to say that if there is ever a time the site looks to be down but be afraid to contact me .. matter of fact, PLEASE CONTACT ME! You can either message me on skype (fopnwang) or dial the shows number (0141 3561872), it forwards to my cell on the off hours, or even on facebook or something. I am pretty much finished with all site upgrades at this time, we might look at a migration to a bigger server after the season starts if we start getting hit too hard but that will be an over night, no down time simple change if needed. I am sorry for those of you all who went through withdrawls yesterday for the full 4 hours we was down, but it was a needed thing to go through for improvement. Thank you all for your patience and again, sorry folks xxx
now for the useless information for those who just "got to know"
what had happened was....
after installing the new template the php code used to do all the css changes had some errors due to the fact that the code was actually written for a version of software that we don not actually run. Basically we had to make it fit, like making a Chevy motor work in a Ford. In doing so we (I) knew there would be problems arise that would need to be ironed out, the reason why I held on to the weekend to make those changes, some of those problem I would not know about until they were reported. The biggest problem was the code shut down our forums, a problem i was unaware of till Monday right before the show, so I got on that and got it fixed during the show Monday. Butttt what slipped my mind was that ment the site ran for 4 days with an error log being built about the issue, so after I fixed the issue the log file was still there and HUGE. it filled the whole drive practically, but left a little space. That little space it left was just enough that once all of Mondays cache was done we hit the complete fill mark that took the site down.. after an hour of brain storming it hit me!.. so I deleted it and we was fixed.. almost. Seems when we hit the fill mark one of the databases was unable to close right due to not having enough room, so i had to spend the rest of the time after deleting the log file repairing the database that was corrupt.... so as you can see, problem sorted and not one that looks to ever rear its ugly head again
