  1. North Stand closure will reduce capacity to around 38-42000. Anyone been to a Hampden when we have had the whole of both ends?
  2. I find the old photo's fascinating, anyone got any links to any more?
  3. Very similar BF1 is like 304, 305 and 306 at Anfield, similar in numbers, problem at both grounds is that they are generally the only ones singing unless it is a CL match or Septic / United. Need more fans singing at Ibrox, feel like the only one singing in BF3.
  4. As a Gers season ticket holder and former Kop ( Anfield) season ticket holder there is no doubt that Ibrox would be ten times better if we had a single tiered stand behind one of the goals holding around 13000 ( same as Anfield). Atmosphere on the Anfield Kop for big games is awesome, imagine the noise from 13000 Bears behind the goal. If we did this at the Copland we could increase capacity to 56000 and filling in the corners a la Westfalion Stadion would push the capacity to around 63000.
  5. Rear of the main stand, probably at least 250 in each corner, 500 in th Club Deck, few on the Enclosure corners, maybe 500 odd seats anfd ticket season ticket holder no shows, couple of hundred in the away section, attendance about right.

  7. Check out the droves of unsold seats at Septic Park tomorrow! So much for the euphoria following a win against Barca!
  8. Come on you Redmen, three league wins at The Bridge in the last five years, not confident this time though. I will go for City 3-1 Spurs, Chelsea 2-1 Liverpool.
  9. As a Red ( been to eight matches this season) and a Bear ( season ticket holder BF3), I shall offer my tenpenworth. Stevie G was probably one of the greatest midfielders ever in his prime ( 2004-2008). During this time he could sit deep and spray passes, play as a second striker, break up the play as a holding midfielder, fill in at full back or even pull on the goalie gloves in a crisis. Times have moved on and time catches up with all of us, firstly Stevie G is pushing 33 and his time as a box to box midfielder has gone, secondly he is playing in a vastly inferior team to the one he graced a few years back. None of this is to say that he no longer hacks it at the top level, he still does but has had to adapt hs game to the style of Rodgers and the deficincies of those around him.
  10. Clyde v Rangers: Tickets Fri, 26th Oct 2012 5:29pm There are now only a very limited number of home end tickets left for Sunday's IRN-BRU Third Division match against Rangers at Broadwood. The remaining seats will be sold to Clyde fans ONLY on Sunday between 10am-12pm, from the new club office (located in the pod to the left of the Main Stand). The prices are £12 for adults and £6 for concessions. Payment is by cash or cheque only. Please arrive early to avoid disappointment. As a reminder, the full away allocation is being handled by Rangers FC and away tickets cannot be purchased from Clyde FC.
  11. Severely restricted seats are in the rear main stand, can't see the goal!. Not sure if these are included in the overall capacity. Would guess there are around 300 of these which would make sense given that a capacity crowd is generally around 50500 with around 300 lost to segregation. The only way we will ever get over 51000 would be a sell out in Europe against a far flung team that only brought a handful of fans (who could be accomodated in the Main Stand) allowing us to fill GW.
  12. Think about the positives, come on get your brain in motion, we are on to a killing here!
  13. Just moved my ST to BF3 for the QP match. I found the stewarding at BF perplexing to say the least. If you go to Anfield you will find 14000 standing on the Kop all through the game. Very much like the dark ages at Ibrox, policing and stewarding from the 1980s, suggest that someone starts recording the actions of the stewards, best to get right in their faces and ensure that they are acting legally( and ethically).
  14. Any cynics should just ask themselves what opportunities this presents for Rangers? Suspect far more positives than negatives. Think very very carefully before posting silly comments.
  15. Leave them to it. The sooner we have no association whatsoever with a certain club from the East, the better. Fear pervades every corridor of Parkhead, they are reliant on us but not us not on them. Those with business interests know that it is only a matter of time before their investment fails. Look at how Rangers world wide fanbase has grown in the last six months, a healthy growth in no way dependent upon a rivalry that has been consigned to the gutter.
  16. Just read my mistake, SPL3! we all know it shoud be SFL3, too many beers.
  17. No reason at all why we won't be looking at 50500 for this one. Get behind the team and get this sold out well in advance.
  18. The Union Bears and The Blue Order are doing an excellent job but on match days they are only around 800 strong out of 50000, we need more passion from the rest of the fans, I was singing loud and proud in BF3 with abject silence around me, we all know what a Champions League atmosphere is like, or 43000 against the Tims, need a few more to get behind the team.
  19. CG knows exactly what he is doing, he is well aware of the untapped resouces that support our team, not only the biggest team in Scotland but one of the top ten in world football, what makes it more ironic is that our fortunes have only served to ignite our fan base, and to suppress those than continue to flounder in the what purports to be Scotland's top division. As a bi-product the cash flow to our SPL3 collleagues can only serve to reignite the grass roots of our game.
  20. Got back home at 8.30 pm after yesterdays match and went to the pub with a few of my mates (Liverpool). Everyone is talking about the Gers, definately the second team of most fans down south. In fact loads want to come up for the reverse Derby at Hampden at Xmas.
  21. Still tickets left if so if you can go get online and get your ticket now, or get down the ticket office when it opens, let's make sure this is over 50000.
  22. Going to be a sell out, only a couple of hundred tickets left in the Copland and Govan, not many more in the Broomloan, mabe 4000 in the Main Stand / Club Deck.
  23. Al well and good but the only crowd that matters is the next one at Ibrox, hope nobody is put off after yesterday, tickets on sale tomorrow so all you non-season ticket holders get purchasing and make sure we hit at least 46000.
  24. Got my swaps today by letter, BF3 here we come, let's get the atmosphere going!
  25. We don't need the Scum, if we never play them again so much the better, we are Rangers, they need us not us need them. Hope they enjoy the rest of the season playing in front of less than 20000 (in the ground, not ticket sales). Let them have a slow painful death.
