  1. I'm having to work tonight so won't be able to get through to the game..gutted! Can't you buy the game later on tonight (after the match) to watch on RTV?
  2. Good press conference, I'm sure he'll be a great signing for us. You can tell he'll give everything on the pitch for the club.
  3. Bump. Just to make sure everyone's going that can go and has got tickets..
  4. EXILED Scot Ally Reynolds only made his senior debut for Apollon Limassol two weeks ago but the teenager is now already dreaming of turning out for Rangers. The 18-year-old midfielder is unknown in Scotland but he’s hoping to become a household name one day – like the Light Blues legend he’s named after. Reynolds left his native Edinburgh nine years ago when his father David took a job at the British military base at Episkopi in Cyprus. He soon joined local team Apollon and after starting out in their Under-10s he made his first team debut two weeks ago in Moldova. And having already enjoyed a taste of European football, he hopes to establish himself at the top end of the game, either at home or abroad. Reynolds said: “I grew up in the Loanhead area of Edinburgh but the family relocated to Cyprus when I was nine after my dad got a job here. “I was already involved in football before I left Scotland. “I was in the Hibs Academy and they had contacts at Apollon Limassol so I was able to make the switch from one youth system to the other quite easily. “I’ve been with Apollon ever since, working my way up through the age groups, so making my debut away to FC Saxan at the start of the month was one of the proudest moments of my life. “I’d been working really hard in training beforehand and deserved my chance. I wasn’t nervous before it – just excited at making my professional debut. “I felt I played really well and our coach Pedro Emanuel told me how pleased he was with my overall performance and that meant a lot.” Apollon won the tie after 2-0 victories home and away over the Moldovan side, and are halfway through a second qualifier against FK Trakai of Lithuania with the Cypriot side already 4-0 up. Reynolds is desperate for more game time in Europe, given the Cypriot League season doesn’t start until the end of August. But he knows he’s in good hands under a manager who has worked with the very best and won the game’s biggest prizes with Porto. He added: “We are lucky to have someone with the pedigree of Pedro Emanuel in charge as there’s so much you can learn from him. “He is great with the players. He’s a legend and I love the style he’s got us playing. He played in defence under Jose Mourinho in the Porto team that won the UEFA Cup in 2003 and the Champions League the following year. “It doesn’t get much better than that and he was the No.2 under Andre Villas-Boas at Porto after he had to retire from playing. I know he played in the team that beat Celtic in the UEFA Cup Final. I’m too young to remember watching the game but as a Rangers fan, that means something to me.” Ally was named after Gers icon Ally McCoist and he dreams of emulating the achievements of his hero. He said: “My dad was always a big Rangers fan and named me after McCoist. I’ve always loved the club as well and I hope that at one point in my career I can get to play for them. That would be the ultimate for me. “For now, I want to establish myself as a regular at Apollon and get games under my belt. “I play in central midfield and have a patient approach geared towards build-up play. I’m told I have a Spanish style of play, even though I’m 6ft 1in tall. “I’m living the dream right now and want to use my Europa League experience as a launchpad for my career.”
  5. With it being the first game in ages, new manager, new players and the general buzz about the place just now I thought the attendance would be really good for this one. Be disappointed for W & W to go out to an empty Ibrox for their first experience of a home game, friendly or not.
  6. Embarrassing number of tickets sold so far for this. Surely the new manager and players deserve a good turnout for this at Ibrox. Get the finger out lads..
  7. Anyone know Andy's preferred or best position? Where do you think he'll play for us?
  8. There's video highlights of the game going about. The team looked really good, high energy, quick passing and pressing. Hope they keep it going against Arbroath.
  9. Not the most exciting of players. A lot of comments are he's a bit inconsistent and a bit lightweight. We've already got Law and Shiels to fill that role. Winks and Allan were definitely more exciting midfield options. Wonder if Eustace will sign.
  10. The Daily Record have a big article today slating her for it, with lots of Celtic tweets criticising her and mentioning how she is glorifying child abuse. How can a statement or song which is critical of an individual or organisation for being involved in child abuse be glorifying it. Surely it's the total opposite of that!?
  11. Did anyone see her tweet about the tennis at Wimbledon, absolutely brilliant!! 'Just catching up on Wimbledon....Big Djok Knew'. What a hero she is! She is currently getting pelters from the great unwashed on twitter..
  12. I agree we need one quality striker in the door. A good all round striker, strong, good in the area, good touch and pace. Not heard any more of the May rumours. Don't think Clark is good enough and happy with Miller as a squad player/backup. Maybe Warburton sees something in Gallagher, and/or Hardie. Gallagher seems to possess most of the physical attributes of potentially being a really good striker, or forward. Both have really good records in the youth set up. Would like to see both involved more this year, either as a striker or coming off the wings. We do need one quality striker in though. We also need two midfielders in, might possibly be 2 out of Eustace, Winks and Allan.
  13. Pretty happy with the three signings so far. A very good level in my opinion. I don't think we need loads more either. Another half a dozen in an ideal word. We could probably manage with just a few more though. Two central midfielders, one holding and one creative/controlling is a must, as is at least one quality striker. The likes of Eustace, Allan and May who we've been linked with could be those players. Quality, over quantity.
  14. http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/spl/rangers/6530554/Man-Utd-kid-Jord-at-Gers.html?CMP=spklr-_-Editorial-_-TWITTER-_-scotsunsport-_-20150706-_-SunScotNews-_-204266116 The bit about Halliday is in that article, just says he's shone in training, but not played any competitive games yet. Not sure how reliable that is..
  15. It was online, just a small paragraph. I read it this morning when I was at my work, I'll try and find it..
  16. According to stv reports Halliday has shone in training. The manager wants to see him in a game or two before he makes a final decision.
  17. Stuart McCall was and is a Rangers legend. At the club as a player and manager he showed the desire and attitude of the winner that he is. He also showed the class associated with being a Ranger. Ian Black was never Rangers class in any sense of the word, like many players last year.
  18. Shiels out and Eustace, Allan and MacLeod in would do for me. Murdoch and Law as back up cm.
  19. Would be a good signing imo. 2 year deal would be ok. To be fair anyone who was playing in the English championship, especially one of the better teams would stroll any level in Scottish football. Think we defo need a good holding midfielder and he seems a real leader. Warburton would probs have him sitting and two more attacking players in front. At the moment that would be Shiels and Law, but could be the likes of Allan and MacLeod, or whoever else he is looking at. And with regards to age look at Pirlo, Xavi, Scholes, Lampard, Gerrard etc. They strolled it playing at a far higher level and a lot of them are even older. We could easily get at least 2 quality years out of him.
  20. He doesn't have bags of pace. He maybe has quick feet when he's dribbling, but never seen much of an end product. I remember watching him running trying to track a Motherwell player back and the Motherwell player ran past him like Ferguson was running through mud.
  21. Need to get Allan from hibs, would be a statement of intent if nothing else. Stevie May would be good too, but I doubt we could get him now. Maybe Lewis Macleod back permanent, or on loan.
  22. Hardly any mention of the guy with the flag hitting Jig in the face. The pitch invasion with the fans taunting Rangers fans. The flare getting thrown on the pitch. The push on Moshni, whatever was said to him and all the other reactions to Moshni by numerously Motherwell players, including several punches or attempted punches. Just all about Moshni and Rangers as usual. Just like the whole paper throwing incident again!
  23. If someone shouted something at me after I had lost 3-0 and was walking to the dressing room and then pushed me in the back I think I'd punch him in the face too.
