'Lee has come here with a good Kilmarnock team, but I thought our two centre-halves were strong and dominant, Dom Ball [in holding midfield] was excellent, and the full-backs maintained a good shape.

Thought our midfield looked better with law and holt as well compared to zelalem and Halliday in the first half. We look a lot more solid with ball in there in the holding role.

Wasn't a particularly inspiring interview and also prefer when new signings refer to the club as we, rather than they, but I know I'm just being picky. MW seems to rate him, so I'll trust his judgement, it's been good so far.

Mw wouldn't come out in the press and say that. He's clearly too professional and respectful of the club to do that. However, it would be nieve to think there isn't a danger of losing mw to an English team in the future that's able to support him much better financially. He's made it clear he'd like at least a couple more players and seemed to be expecting them to materialise by now, so despite what he'll say in the press, I can imagine it being quite frustrating.

Rubbish. Look at Barcelona, they play the same system and they've got world class defenders worth tens of millions of pounds and their defenders get the same criticisms. Alves one of the best right backs in the world, gets criticised for being too attacking and leaving his centre backs exposed. And Pique, Mascherano, Puyol, Mathieu etc in the times that they have played for Barcelona have had varying degrees of criticism for their defending, as has the defensive unit of Barcelona. The system they play leaves them exposed at times like this, but their manager feels the attacking threat this gives them is worth it. Personally, I'm really pleased with Kiernan and Tav. I'm unsure of Wilson at the moment, but he doesn't become a bad player overnight.

Would be two good signings imo. Crooks would give us a bit more physical presence as well.

A good opportunity to get rid of a few average players of the wage bill in the summer and get a better quality in for next season. Law is the only one I'd think about offering a new short term deal.

Can't disagree too much with these. I'd give a slightly higher mark to kiernan, I like him as a player, and think he's a good signing. Probably a 7 or 7.5 for me. Overall MW has done well with his signings. A really good strike rate when you consider he hasn't spent much at all.

Just got back from the game and watched it on bt sports. Have to say really like Stuart McCall as a pundit. Any criticism of Rangers is generally spot on and still always speaks well of the club and sticks up for us when necessary. Also quite rightfully called fyvies reaction out as being disgraceful. Great player for us, done a decent job as manager and left with his head held high, comes across as knowledgable and a good guy.
