Cuellar is on 3 years I believe. It's obviously now 2. Imagine the value he'd be worth on a 5 year deal. danny you of all people should know that right now we cant afford to lose carlos for whatever price. I think you missed my point. I am not advocating his sale. He's probably our most important player and certainly our most valuable asset. I am just pointing out his value depends on the length of his contract - like any player. And he's worth at least £8M now imo, so with a length contract added this season that would rise. Just facts, not me trying to promote his sale You're thinking exactly the same way as me mate! If the transfer window closes and we still have him we MUST put him on £20,000+ and at least a 4-5 year contract if only to protect his value as you say protect "our most valuable asset"

4-4-2 that's the team I would like to try out. Thanks Polar....nice to see someone agree with me here! I think it could prove to be quite effective and I hope to see it at some point this season or something very similar to it. There are moments of class which seperate him from the rest and thats why we need him. I feel carrying his injury really affected his performances for around 4months last term and it thus hindered the team also. Hopefully he will be back and better than ever....one can only hope. I just thought of, what if Scotland did qualify for the Euro's? Would Barry have bitten the bullet and got the surgery when he should have in the first place or still played through the pain barrier until the end of the season and jeapordise his chances of playing over in Austria/Switzerland....something to think about!

I think the atmosphere vs Inter Milan in the 1-1 draw to reach the last 16 was fantastic! The explosion of noise as we realised we were though was great and the Inter fans also dually applauded our achievement and hospitality, great night!

I feel he was signed on the new deal purely to protect his value in the market, thats why I would like to see Cuellar get a new contract if he is not sold in August!
