I’m about 3/4 of the way through I think. To steal a quote, it’s probably one of the best 8/10’s I’ve ever played. It’s not ground breaking, but what it does do, it does really well. It’s a throwback to the original games, but with a lot more polish. Stealth is now the main focus, you can still hack your way through enemies with a sword but on the harder difficulties it’s very easy to get quickly overwhelmed. The combat is still fairly basic and not as free flowing as Origins or Valhalla, no weapon skills either. That’s intentional though as the focus is on using your tools and stealth. Story is decent so far but I don’t really care about any of the characters. The real star of the show is the city… it’s fairly small but it’s incredibly well put together and feels very alive. If you like the older games you’ll love this. I had to change afew of the controls though but you might like the older/traditional feel to them!

The role of a captain is somewhat overstated by the fans. Putting the armband on someone else will not change anything. Leaders don’t need abit of fabric around their arm to lead by example. Successful teams need several captains out there, it cannot simply fall on the shoulders of one individual. Our “leadership team” need completely dropped and resigned to the history books.

Was just looking at the contract situation… we are all in agreement changes need to be made, but I think we are going to be stuck with a lot of this shite for years to come. So much dross on long term contracts… and a significant portion of them are on big wages that they won’t get anywhere else. With next to no sellable assets… Unless a Saudi prince comes in and fancies burning afew 20 quid notes I don’t see how this board can turn this round. I mean their form is irrelevant when it comes to playing against us. They always raise their game.

Not talking about talent, as ofcourse our lower league teams were objectively inferior footballers. But I don’t remember us having such an imbalanced squad. When Beale talked about finding players with the right character. I genuinely think he’s assessed them on personality alone… their ability to form a balanced team on a technical level was seemingly an afterthought.

I’ve genuinely seen hungover bams play better football on a terrible pitch covered in dogshite. This is dire given our financial outlay.

I think my problem with these games is that isn’t about fun anymore. I remember playing FIFA 13 and still having a great time even when losing.(for the most part) On this and the last few FIFA’s even when winning I don’t particularly seem to be having fun. Half the time the goals scored and conceded are fucking rancid and the general gameplay feels like a lottery at times. The more complicated and “real” they try to make it, the more of an incoherent mess it seems to become. Maybe it’s just me. Either way I won’t be rushing out to buy EAFC anytime soon.

Keepers are still awful though. Either save everything or palm it straight back out to an attacker.

Weird glitch playing online seasons. I can’t control the players… AI is literally playing the game for me. I can’t quit out either… I’ve literally to sit here and hope the AI wins for me.

Completely different Frankfurt team. Trapp and Rode were the only players who played tonight and in the final against us. (edit: also knauff, came on as sub tonight but started against us)

It's Claudio Bravo - ex man city. & Barcelona. He's technically their 2nd choice keeper but he still plays regularly.
