Can just see the SFA using this as an excuse to not hammer hibs as they will claim they don't know if all the people involved were in fact hibs fans so no punishment can possibly be handed out.

The only thing that surprises me about this is the fact that people seem surprised at this. I honestly think that hibs will get nothing more that a fine somewhere in the region of £100000 and we will get fined a fraction less.

Law will probably be a decent signing for whatever team he ends up at, the lad is very technically gifted of that I have no doubt. He was singled out by a lot of our support and although I'm not saying his criticism wasn't unjust he was not the worst in a bad bunch in my opinion, although his reaction to the criticism that day at Dumbarton away done himself no favours whatsoever. For me he had the potential to be a great player for us going through the leagues if only his heart was a big as his talent.

I think this post hits the nail firmly on the head. If indeed (which I honestly expect) that this is allowed to continue undealt with until after the new season kicks off in a similar style to Motherwell, then it really does have the potential to be an "Armageddon" type scenario, as say our first fixture was Aberdeen away, as it's going to be a hostile fixture regardless, could be seen as open season for attacks on our support as it will appear no retribution will be handed out to either the participants or their club.

Although some of the football in the first season in the lower leagues are now gladly forgotten, the bus trips to the likes of Peterhead and Elgin etc will be lifelong memories, and as has been mentioned earlier in the thread, going to places and drinking in pubs where the people there welcomed you without the pure hatred and animosity.

I have to agree with that. I go home and away every week, and with the exception of the game against united when we didn't take up our allocation I have continued to do so through "the journey" but I have to admit I don't think I'll go back to Easter road again as I believe that is the only way to really hurt these bastards. Only downside to that is as we all know, as soon as one bear decides not to go another takes his place, as is always likely to be the case due to our huge fan base.

Hibs to be banned from SC would be the ideal scenario but in all honesty I think they will get nothing more than a very small fine and even that will take months to come out as the SFA will try and drag this out as long as possible in the hope that it'll be forgotten/old news type shite and we move along as if it didn't happen

Surely it must be a matter for the police to look into if a national newspaper is falsely giving quotes from the police into something as serious as what happened last weekend? If indeed this is just fabrication on the DR's part then it must be challenged be not only the club but also the police themselves
