It may be a bit irrelevant, but today I met a lawyer who is is in effect, about the same status as MB in a law firm in Singapore. He earns approx 55K a week before tax. I get the feeling that most people (and I include myself in this), have no real comprehension what top level businessmen earn. I am sure if many posters on here were asked what they get every month, you would be surprised as well. Mental though it may be, 10K a week is more common than you think. MB is not earning a heap of dough. He is earning what his position would pay, from a club in a bit of financial trouble. Whether he should accept the increase/bonus, etc? TBH this is just a Chief Execs salary. Not out the ordinary at all for a biz like The Rangers. I assume he is doing his job well or he would not get the rise. This is the same as every other company in the world. The only people who get paid large sums for doing nothing work for the Government.

Travelling from Asia I have little chance of making every game, thus I opt for the short cut for a ticket - I pay through the nose every time - worst (with the exception of the final which was beyond belief) was Villareal at 1000 Euro per ticket. When added on to everything else we had paid to get there though, hotels, bevvy, etc it actually didn't make much difference anyway. If there is a will there is a way and sacrifices will be made to ensure it happens.

You just need to have been witness to the many violent incidents involving rugby fans and players at tournaments over the years being put down to "boys will be boys" and they were "just high spirited young men". It may not be on the same scale, but boxing is boxing. For Manchester I think anyone going should seriously make sure you have a camera/video ready for anything that may happen. There is no doubt that Manchester Plod will be out for revenge as they were shown up to be the incompetents they are, and so someone will need to pay.
