  1. This is very true in many aspects. You just need to have been witness to the many violent incidents involving rugby fans and players at tournaments over the years being put down to "boys will be boys" and they were "just high spirited young men". It may not be on the same scale, but boxing is boxing. For Manchester I think anyone going should seriously make sure you have a camera/video ready for anything that may happen. There is no doubt that Manchester Plod will be out for revenge as they were shown up to be the incompetents they are, and so someone will need to pay.
  2. Superb news. That was more stressful than moving house or getting divorced. It's 1045hrs here and i am ready for a pint already! Magic.
  3. In the grand scheme of things, very few people are ever successful when it comes to major business deals in a competitive international market. Martin Bain has proved he is successful. We are very lucky to have him. Well done Martin - you have my respect. Bawdeep Loyal
  4. Troon to Dubai to Hong Kong to Thailand (middle of move - pain in the tits) WATP
  5. Of course he's right footed, he plays for us FFS.
  6. Just heard the boy on there say b4 KO of the second half - "honeymoon and period. That shows a lack of planning". Classic.
  7. Get down to Amici mate - there will be a few in for sure. Fitba, bevvy and then onto the rodgers round the corner - you'll have a good night out. WATP
  8. Me plus one other from the Hong Kong Loyal, plus friends and family - 15 total. WATP
  9. Its probably who she buys her gear off. Tell her goodbye Edu.
  10. Villareal game. I was in the lobby with my mate and watched as Greig was approached by two young fans - ages around say 8 & 10, autograph books in hand. He treated them with contempt and could barely say hello. If they had been my kids I reckon I would have booted his hole there and then. I actually reported it to Ibrox and the response that came back was that they were going to phase him out anyway as the general opinion held of him was basically as I had described it. Why he is still there I don't know. The fact is that some people are just miserable pricks no matter how good they are at football or what they have done in the past. He should be kept way from the public in my opinion. BDHK I don't think for one minute someone at Ibrox would e-mail Joe Public telling them they are phasing out John Greig. Not saying your a liar mate, but have you picked the tone up wrong? It was reported via one of the current management team whom I know well. He discussed it the day after it happened with the relevant senior staff and he called me back with my above details. I trust that will be in order for you? BDHK

  12. Thank you all for the details. I very much appreciate it. Lets hope for some sunshine!! BDHK
  13. Gents - assistance required. I am talking the family for the first time. My kids are young but love watching and singing. Where would be the best place to go to see a great walk? Obliged BDHK
  14. He was out for the Masters tournament in HK a couple of years ago. Top bloke and still had it as a player.
  15. The SUN has him down as worth 4 million. No way!
  16. Me + 5 fellow Bears and 4 Toon Army nuts. Should be a good day out. I assume there will be no issues with Toon fans being in among us? BDHK
  17. Good luck Mr. Findlay. I saw you speak in Vegas - superb. Guardian - GTF. BDHK
  18. To see that and know that I paid them money makes me sick. WTF are they doing talking to those f#cks? Unbelievable. Tossers to a man.
  19. As he is a Bluenose I hope he has a safe and enjoyable trip.
  20. Bought two copies of Shooting Star off Mr. Stein himself in Vegas. He had a bag of them. One for me and one for the old boy. All signed up. The old will be well chuffed when he gets the surprise through the post! Should arrive anyday now.
  21. He is also the best red wine drinker I have ever encountered anywhere on the planet. Truly astounding ability.
  22. On the park, win with the best we can afford, and at all costs. Would I prefer 11 bluenoses on the park? Of course. Would I be crying if we won the treble with none? No.
  23. The only point that concerns me is the "received support from sources in Dubai and Qatar" part. Qatari cash I do not have such an issue with as they are supportive to coalition forces and have been for many, many years. Regarding Dubai, I am aware that British troops used to (maybe they still do) train in the desert there, however after 9/11 the authorities in DXB actively refused to cooperate and handover details regarding the bombers and the financial support received from there. Who in their right mind would refuse to cooperate with such an investigation? To me, we as Bluenoses are raising cash for troops who have been injured, and we actively support the ongoing war effort that our soldiers are involved in, but would we then take money from a dictatorship that allows money laundering and has openly given Al Qaeda a free hand to move funds around the Globe? Again I am fully aware that they move much of their cash via the hawala network, but without storage accounts, none of this could happen. Investment to clear debt - welcome news. Cash for players - superb. The Rangers way and standards to be maintained - absolutely essential above all else and at the expense of any questionable cash origins. BDHK
  24. Everyone on the panel did well and were very "Rangers like" and professional. I have been to many business/forum Q&A's and they were as good as, if not better, than some sessions I've seen involving seasoned lawyers and other so called business leaders.
  25. I liked him as a player, but I heard that his last year was frowned upon in Ibrox. The way it was told to me was that apparently he had to undergo a hernia op and there were two procedures open to him. One would have been minimally invasive and thus would have seen and an "out of action" time of only a few weeks. He opted for the full op and then lay about for the rest of the season, happy in the knowledge that he was off to Arsenal and would arrive there injury free as he wasn't going to do much for us again - this was a choice rather than a physical necessity. Not the best of attitudes if true. Anyone else hear anything similar?
