  1. The frustrating thing for me is that we can all see the bigger jobs that need done, like cleaning/cladding/replacing the roofing, more banners etc. but I was really hoping that a lot of the smaller jobs would've been done for the start of the season. There's still seat numbers missing and railings and stairs needing painted. It's especially frustrating when these services were offered for free/cost price by fans previously. I know there can be insurance issues but surely these can be overcome with minimal work/expenditure?
  2. I'd agree in general but I guess there's got to be some sort of incentive to do as well as possible in the group stages.
  3. He'll make a decent enough player as a DM but nowhere near the standard we need for this season or beyond. Can see him going to an English championship club.
  4. I really don't get why anyone is interested in Ball. He's nowhere near good enough to play any part in our squad and I definitely can't see any future for him at Spurs. I'd be extremely disappointed if we signed him.
  5. Aye, his two goals, link up play, tireless work and man of the match award were pretty poor. Should've had a hat trick at the very least though, I'll give you that.
  6. Not necessarily the case that there's not enough demand, it's probably more that there's not enough demand for the category of seat left. The remaining season tickets in the broomie don't include Celtic games. Prior to that, the only other seats left were very expensive seats in the club deck (excluding CD1 and CD7). Would be interesting to see how many more we would sell if the seats in CD 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 were cheaper and still freely on sale.
  7. All the away fans used to be segregated in a similar way through the 90's in BF front and we shared the SJ stand against Dundee Hivs in the cup semi the other year, so it's definitely not an issue as long as it's managed properly. It's about getting the balance right between having enough of them in to create the atmosphere but ensuring more of our fans are given the chance to attend.
  8. I totally agree that you still need a sizeable away support for this fixture, so I understand the decision to keep the allocation the same as previously, but personally I would like to see the allocation cut slightly to allow more Bears to attend and to give them as little TV coverage as possible. I'd give them BF and BR sections 1,2 and 3. This would still provide good segregation, as they would use the south half of entrances to the Broomie and we'd use the north half, the concourses could be easily divided with fencing/police, and the seats with the usual tarpaulin. It would take their allocation down to about 4000, so still big enough to generate an atmosphere but it eradicates most of their TV presence (like ours at the San Giro) and allows more Bears to attend. That being said, I get why it hasn't changed, just giving my 2 cents.
  9. Confirmed as over 42k now in this article. Can we update the thread title? http://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/warburton-delighted-deal/
  10. The option to see the view from the area is gone as well.
  11. Smart move by EK, would help drive up crowd numbers now that they have planning permission for a new 4000 seat stadium. He'd run riot in the lowland league, even Robbie and Davie Winters manage to look like superstars playing for Pollok Juniors.
  12. It totally depends on where the supporting pillar is. Some seats are nearly perfect and you only have to lean back or forward to catch a glimpse of the corner flag or whatever. On the flip side, some are horrendous and you have half the pitch blocked out. if you look on the seat plan, try and work out where the pillar would be from the restricted seats and choose one that you think's closest to a non restricted seat (probably the majority of the sold seats in that section).
  13. The Cooper Academy. Fitting to be named after a Rangers legend and someone who put a lot of his own time into coaching youngsters and tragically died while doing so.
  14. Winning the league, anything else is a bonus. Title number 55 and stopping the filth's attempt at a tainted 10 in a row at the first time of asking is the one and only target we should be aiming for.
  15. Better players who are able to cope with set pieces. Our general tactics and formation are spot on, we just need the players who can play it properly. Hopefully someone has the stats but at least 50% of our goals conceded this season must have been through set pieces and I'd wager a decent percentage of the rest will be through unforced errors.
  16. Fucking hell, did not expect that. Get in there, Rangers!
  17. Whilst I agree with the majority of the sentiment in that piece, I think the thing we should be doing is fighting to take our country back. 99% of the flags in Ibrox now are unions jacks. We should make a concious effort to fly the union flag, the saltire, the lion rampant, the royal arms and the red hand in more even numbers at games, particularly the union flag and the saltire. Don't let someone steal your identity and polarise you, that just drags you down to their level and plays into their hands. We're sleepwalking into full blown nationalism, factions moving to the extreme left and right. We need to fight it before it's too late.
  18. They are now in a minority Government. If all of the other parties stick to their pledges about repealing the law and follow the party whip, then there's nothing the SNP can do about it.
  19. Ibrox has excellent transport links, we own much of the land around it and there's even more land to potentially purchase in the future. We also already have our own training base so there's no reason we should ever need to leave. The stadium may be rebuilt but we'll never leave it.
