  1. Oh my if that happens, imagine the “impartial” press..
  2. Like you I dream, and hope we do. Not because it heaps the utter humiliation on them that when they had no league competition they made an infamous abject failure to proceed in Europe. When we got our eye in with Gerrard and then with Gio we refused to be spanked and it got us to a place the filth felt entitled to be, but failed to get there, and I am repeating myself they had no completion for just under a decade in Scotland and it showed, We are there because we deserved to be there, we played what was put in front of us and won, if Rangers win the final it will be for us and us alone.
  3. I agree all forces retain a paper archive of all cases for certain periods of time sex, murder and high profile cases are usually held for a minimum of 30 years, and stored in disused salt mines etc.
  4. When I saw it, I initially thought to myself - My god the farmer from Babe has let himself go..
  5. Striking a child, no matter how talentless he is, is an absolute disgrace. Hope that subhuman is found and punished for his vile act, I for one will salute the arresting officer.
  6. Let me guess going by their last “attack” I assume they were chased down by pensioners on electric wheelchairs and Nike Zimmer frames..
  7. Musically it was “mud slide slim” and the ref sent him off for ‘slip slidin away”..
  8. If i had any tears left I’d cry at that again.
  9. How odd I was on a midnight train that night..
  10. I always have that in my mind whenever we play those creatures, the belief and the fight and McCoist and the team celebration that night was special.
  11. Is that the one where we were down to 10 men after a few minutes and McCoist in the wind and rain scored the only goal of the game on 45mins?
  12. Does that include the sponorship around around the stadia, is there money any that is for Ibrox and Ibrox alone
  13. A three game future, come what may, this club from destruction, to resurrection has made a statement, i think tonight it was “We looked into the abyss. And the Abbys blinked”
  14. Let him get his eye in with his team.
  15. Funny old world, I used to be a blacksmith and the company I worked for got the contract for building the fence around the seminary when Peado1 visited Scotland. There was a 3’ fence all round, but they wanted that taken down and an 8’ high fence with turnstiles in it. It was all about exploiting them. It was a great job (never in the yard more than a few minutes), when we removed the old metal fencing, we asked where they wanted all the scrap to go. The priest who was overseeing the project asked us if we could manage it for him, he was supposed to oversee us, but turned up everyday for five minutes then disappeared. The money we made from the scrap was a great bonus, I can’t recall the actual distance but it was over a mile of scrap. Thanks for the memory.
  16. I’m assuming the fans of that other team did not want this “friendly” either. Our board - like them or loathe them - eventually made a correct decision on this, the other teams board were never going to pull out, even though last year they declared there was no Old Firm but it was now the “Glasgow Derby”.
  17. I know it was in England, but some lord was found to have been guilty of CSO, even though he was lost to dementia from a read through of the evidence. I suppose it was some succour. I can’t recall if he died prior to the trial, but he would never have been imprisoned due to his condition.
  18. Common and reasonable defence in elderly defendants, however his previous convictions and admissions will be taken into consideration - its called similar fact evidence (where I live). Will not have any impact on the civil case at this stage especially as the case is not about him, he is only a small part of the case, but he does/did know The case of these victims has been years in the making/building and as criminal cases close the civil case begins to gain more momentum.
  19. That is amazing, it is not often you see the very instant you see a team lose before kicking a ball or having a game plan.
  20. I wish your father a happy birthday, and hope he has many more.
  21. We as a family were led through the players tunnel and around the pitch, my mum pointed out where she and dad watched the games when they were “winching”, she pointed out where my family all stood saying “when we married that is where your family stood”. It brought back memories for her that have sadly gone now.
  22. My father passed away just before admin. My mother phoned Ibrox and asked if we could scatter some of dads ashes on the pitch. I can’t recall the gentleman’s name now, but he facilitated an incredible visit to Ibrox, you would not have known our club was in turmoil, we as a family were treated like royalty and the respect given to my fathers passing was incredibly touching. We have a brick dedicated to dad there too, and I think it is as stated above a facade. Dad and I when we worked together as blacksmiths once had the honour of working on and repairing the gates at Ibrox, can’t for the life of me recall what we did, but we did it with pride, and when we laid my fathers ashes down Rangers did the same.
