  1. Dorin Goian visited the U.S. Virgin islands. They are now just the U.S. Islands.
  2. It is for some things when it suits them
  3. I was born there The NI link is still strong, I can think of (off the top of my head) at least 8 Rangers supporters clubs in Belfast alone. It's difficult to judge anyway, as with the amount of people who support Rangers and an EPL club at the same time, if you see someone in a Chelsea/Liverpool/Man Utd top then they could still support Rangers as well to some degree. I'm sure Ibrox would easily be in the top 10 most visited football grounds for fans from NI. You mean when a player who is seen to know what it means to play for the club is signed instead of players who aren't rangers fans of greater ability out there? I agree with that last point. I think we pick on the Scottish lads the most. Though I dont think Lafferty has gotten off lightly with us over the years, unless you think he deserves more criticism than he's getting!
  4. I think combining the Scottish, Northern Irish, Rep of Irish and Welsh leagues including Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham to make something similar to the Magners league in Rugby is more likely to happen. Though even then it probably never will, and Im not sure how much I'd like it anyway... While it would be brutal, it would almost be better than the current SPL
  5. Have you been to Ni yourself at any point to gauge it for yourself? And how the hell can you speak for Healy/Lafferty? Do you know them personally and know that they didn't grow up Rangers fans? Is Amac lying when he says he knows Healy's family personally and their all massive Rangers fans, Healy's dad even running the local Rangers club?
  6. Agree with this. It only goes up to 2008 though, I havent read the other ones but they may be more recent.
  7. But that couldn't possibly be true! He told you 20 years and the stadium of light was only built in 1998 And fair does why would you?
  8. Maybe he meant at St James' Park? On the subject of Bruce, I think he is a victim of fan expectation now. He has steered them to mid table finishes twice now which represents progress, but the fans are looking for top 7 and potentially European football though. They always seem to start well and have the fans believing only for it to go tits up in the second half of the season and they almost get sucked in to a relegation battle. Some fans don't like him just because he is a geordie. The board obviously back him because of the money he was given to spend over the summer, though if results don't pick up then I think he will be gone by christmas.
  9. Before the start of the season Queens were talking about promotion. That's going well for them so far
  10. They will both be roughly equal though I bet we'll be forced to hear about Rooney and be shown all his goals far, far more often. I can't wait for him to stop scoring and hit a bad patch of form midway through the season.
  11. And all that time Saurez was in yards of space just to the left, with an open goal if only they'd rolled it to him
  12. It will be between Liverpool and Chelsea for third place this season, and I quite fancy Liverpool to pip Chelsea to it.
  13. You can drink in grounds in England but you're not allowed to do it anywhere where you can see the pitch It basically means that people don't do it to excess, why they couldnt at least bring that in in Scotland is beyond me.
  14. It's beasically just a mountain top isn't it?
  15. A club like Sunderland where he was on loan last year is his level imo.
  16. Fair enough, it's just convincing everyone that the famine isn't racist (I know it isn't) that will be the problem. If they can claim their songs are political then using the same reasoning so are ours.
  17. Davis was good in 05/06 for Villa and Northern Ireland. I know this because I watch a lot of EPL and I saw it with my own eyes. It didn't work out at Fulham but that doesn't mean that Davis is shite. He is quality and even in games where he doesn't play well he can still make a telling contribution like a killer pass to set up a goal. Unfortunately he can't be brilliant all the time, but neither can Jelavic. It is in Europe and sometimes old firm games (3-0) defeat last season where he struggles at all imo.
  18. Noticed that too. They bring Rangers in to every post they make as well, telling everyone how evil we are
  19. At no point there does the OP blame McCulloch for the defeat And besides it isn't about just one game. McCulloch's contribution this year has been such that we could have used a traffic cone instead and barely noticed the difference. He's never been Xavi, but at the moment he isn't even Hugh Murray.
  20. Depends though, alot of English football fans hate him from his Leicester days. I remember a Middlesborough fan asking me a few days after Lennon's death threat, "Have you lot managed to get him yet? I keep checking the news everyday hoping that you have".
  21. Last night clearly showed that McCoist never learned the lessons from the mistakes in Malmo or from the mistake's Smith often made in Europe. This sitting deep and allowing ourselves to be attacked is doing my nuts in and it's costing us. The way we lost both goals was sickening in how naive our defence was, with how the second half was going it was crying out for Wylde's pace so why was he not brought on? And the fact that Edu was our best player (imo) shows how bad everyone else must have been. On to McCulloch - It was clear that he was unfit to play as well which made it much worse. If Ness was injured then we had Kyle Hutton ready to come in. No-one can tell me he wouldn't have done much better than McCulloch last night. He turns slower than the titanic, can't run anymore, regularly panics in possession so just underhits a pass back putting our defenders under pressure so they have to aimlessly wallop the ball up field. In the last few years we have allowed Hemdani, Thomson and Mendes to leave yet we have kept this guy. He has contributed well in the past but he's done now imo.
  22. There's one or two Newcastle fans as well and I have absolutely no idea why they are here as both have admitted they're not fans of us. And there's a City fan who only seems to post on here when the BNP/EDL get slagged to stick up for them
  23. Celtic have been installed as favourites at the start of each of the last 3 seasons, and look how they turned out
