  1. There's a small miracle required every time Foster or Wallace float an aimless cross towards Nicky Clark and expect him to do anything with it.
  2. He'd be making a huge mistake moving there at this stage of his career. Greek clubs are where players with half decent reputations go to die.
  3. I'd keep Faure because I'm convinced with a bit of time and coaching, there's a player in there. I'd get rid of the rest though.
  4. Anywhere on the A76 between Dumfries and Kilmarnock is a good Rangers stronghold. Lockerbie too has always struck me as a good Rangers supporting town. Strangely Gretna and Annan seem to be full of tims.
  5. If Scotland can get seven points from ROI, Georgia and Poland then they should be able to clinch second. I fancy them to get a point against Germany at Hampden too tbh.
  6. To be honest yes I do dislike a lot of clubs in England Especially the south-east. It's probably just a north south thing. They do pretty much mean fuck all to me, why would they? It would very much surprise me if Real Madrid fans inhabit the same planet as the rest of us. I don't care what the sons of Franco think really, nor should anyone. I'm a Cumbrian yokel and have every right to be ignorant and hate London. Don't take that right away from me
  7. Apart from the obvious, a club I really can't stand is Preston North End. Their town is a tarrier infested shit hole, full of plastic paddy fake Irish. Their fans are the scum of Lancashire, all the other clubs down there hate them. Cardiff fans are by and large a bunch of pricks as well. Welsh Tims.
  8. I've always disliked them in the same way I dislike clubs like Fulham. Just another no-mark, faceless, non descript, suburban London club. What is the point of them? They were the last thing the premiership needed.
  9. Carlisle United and Glentoran would be the only clubs whose results I actively look for. Sometimes go to Brunton with my mates and stand in the Warwick. Been to an Ajax game and admire them as a club but wouldn't say I actively support them in any real way.
  10. Allan Johnston and Paul Ritchie. Signed by Advocaat then discarded almost instantly. Also Andy "Sicknote" Webster. A signing so drawn out he got a clause named after him, then he played twice in four years.
  11. We need to give Clark a run up front. He might turn out to be pish, but we should give him a run. I actually think he must have a decent goals to minutes ratio this seadon to be fair to him. I also think Gallagher showed enough at the end of last season, and going by his scoring form for Cowdenbeath, to deserve a chance in the side. I think both him and Clark are very rough around the edges and need a bit of work, but I'm convinced that both of them could make it. I'd stick 'em both in the team every week. Plenty of room for them and the Newcastle lads.
  12. Forgot to mention Marcos Senna for Villareal, who was the reason I was gonna post in this thread! Also I remember Sinisa Mihajlovic (sp), Serbian guy for Inter. Would have been near the end of his career by the time we saw him in 05, but he was one of the best set piece takers I've ever seen! Think he was a good player in his day. Anyone know the guy I mean?
  13. I think Ariel Ortega is a good shout. He was going to be the next Maradona and looked quality in the Parma games, yet just seemed to drop off the face of the earth after that.
  14. To be honest I expected this to have been an Andy Goram quote when I read the thread title.
  15. I'd avoid the ones nearest the ground, they're mostly tarrier pubs around there.
  16. A walmart in deepest darkest Florida, near Daytona I think, there was a family in there and the two kids were in Rangers tops. Turned out they were from Ulster visiting relatives just like we were. Other than that, I was surprised to see a boy in the orange strip on O'Connell street in Dublin just after we won the treble in 03, guy was massive, doubt any tarrier would've had the balls to take him on.
  17. Im too young to remember him playing for us but I can't stand Derek Ferguson.
  18. Mohsni needs dropped, he's gone of the boil recently, going to cost us points at some point.
  19. Imo the way we set up, especially today doesn't help him. I think he's the kind of player that finds space in the oft referred to "hole" between the opposition midfield and defence. That's where you see him at his best. Unfortunately for him the team's we play against sit so deep, and their midfield is so packed and so close to the defence, that no space actually exists. He really needs two strikers to stretch a defence, and two wingers who regularly get in behind and to the byeline to create space for him and we just don't do this at all. We play with one up front and our wingers constantly cut inside making the centre of the park even more congested. Basically Shiels at the moment, for the way we play is useless to us. I'm not saying it isn't his fault. He should be doing more on a day like today to get in the game. He isn't clever enough with his movement, and is shrugged off the ball far too easily. It's far too easy to mark him out of the game. I think there is a player in there, but I think we should get rid of him in the summer, as it just hasn't worked out for him at Rangers and that is a shame. I'm sure an SPL team or an English championship/league 1 team would pay a few hundred K for him.
  20. Aye, Annan Academy was rough back in day.
  21. Nah that's wrong mate, he was actually in the away end that night because he feared for his and his family's safety in the directors box...
  22. I think having Little up front with Daly certainly helped.
  23. They used to put games on in the bluebell on Gateshead high street, it's where Tyneside true blues used to meet, but I have no idea if that is still going on or not.
