Lennon abused by The Sheep

Lemon gets attacked because he is an obnoxious cunt. Nothing to do with his religion or football affiliations. -
Racing Santander players refuse to play

Why did the farts players not try that one? -
J'accuse - an open letter to Thompson and Spiers
Corky True Legend replied to quinty's topic in General Football & Sport
Might be a bit of additional expense but I would suggest sending Thomson and Speirs a copy each by Recorded Delivery asking for a response. As RD's have to be signed for, they could not later deny receipt. If you do not get a reply, you can then go further up the line eg Channel 4 bosses to a level not corrupted by the Scottish mhedia, pointing out that their employees/representatives are unable to justify their reporting so reflecting poorly on their station. -

Billy our manager in 2 years' time. Really! Dream on or maybe get off the Buckie. -
With France having banned advertising of alcohol, is it right that sides sponsored by drinks companies have to black out their logos when playing away to French teams. These companies have paid for media exposure and are entitled to it. Surely this is politics interfering with football. In my opinion, French sides should have to play their "home" games outside France if they are drawn against such a sponsored team or an amendment should be made to the legislation exempting "foreign" sides from the ban. Of course, nothing will be done as Platini is French. By the way, do they black out games played in other countries where alcohol is advertised? Serious question as I honestly don't know.

Are Hearts close to collapse?
Corky True Legend replied to The Educator's topic in General Football & Sport
With no Edinburgh derby to fill their coffers, I don't think yhey will be in the Championship for three years. I can see them, if they survive, sliding down the divisions. And, with no local derby, Hibs could soon be following them. -
And a single governing body and league?

Celtic lift Green Brigade suspension AGAIN
Corky True Legend replied to 1st_Jan_1994's topic in General Football & Sport
Let's look at this as a positive. If they are banned, they can't cause more trouble and bring about more fines or (hopefully) games played behind closed doors. Let the mhanky mhob riot. They can't sweep forever. -
Best game(non Rangers) you've been too
Corky True Legend replied to mrmojorisin's topic in General Football & Sport
JamieD @17. Sorry for the misunderstanding M8. Yes I was a jammie git but not so jammie when I saw us getting beaten in the first leg of our first European final v Fiorentina in 1961. Still maintain that penalty should have been retaken. Ffs the keeper was out on the 6 yard box before Caldow even kicked the ball. No wonder the Bears in the old covered terracing pulled down the Italian flag and shredded it. -

Let's really upset the SNP by singing, after the first verse of GSTQ, singing : Lord grant that Marshall Wade; May by Thy mighty aid; Victory bring. May he sedition hush; And like a torrent rush; Rebellious Scots to crush;God save the Queen. Fat Alex would have apoplexy -

JamieD. Yes. Old big enclosure under the wee stand.. By the way, I was also at the semi 2nd leg at Ibrox. 3 - 6. Main stand, Copland Road end. Don't care what you think. I know the facts. -

Real Madrid v Eintracht Frankfurt, Hampden 1960. Clinical demolition of a team that had taken 12 goals off Rangers over 2 games in the semi. Although initially gutted that the Gers were not there, on refelection, dread to think what they would have done to us. -
GF@2). He did!

If you read only one article today it HAS to be this
Corky True Legend replied to thehost's topic in General Football & Sport
Great article except for the reference to Co-op shareholders. Co-operatives by definition cannot have shareholders. That aside, it just goes to show that we will have to get the English media on board to press (no pun intended) our case. Are there any steps we can take to force this to be investigated? Perhaps an opportunity for the board after 19th December - whoever that may be - to show the fans tha are prepared to act in the best interests of the Club. -

If it's that important, print it as the OP. Links to other sites are shite. -
Not celebrating goals against your former club
Corky True Legend replied to pcbear's topic in General Football & Sport
Yes, I have but many years ago. Have you watched old footage of eg Scotland v England 1967 or Real v Eintracht at Hampden. No poofish behaviour from goalscorers in those days. Also, Struth or Symon would never have stood for it. -
Time to bin the Europa league
Corky True Legend replied to AlCapone's topic in General Football & Sport
CL is OK but should be groups at stage 1. Winner of each group to stage 2 groups to qualify for last 16 then knock-out. Champions only from ALL countries and NO SEEDING. Won't happen as format was changed to avoid losing "big names" after Man U suffered a shock defeat and went out early under old format. As Neil Diamond said, "Money talks". -

Point 1. Many Rangers fans on the "official" thread wanted big Marvin to get a goal against us last night because we respect him as a player and as a man. Point 2. Lets just get back to a pat on the back and shake of the hand or, if a really good goal, a ruffle of the hair. Can't stand all this poncing about for doing what they are getting paid for, and paid a lot more than most of us. -
Are they off to Japan again?
Corky True Legend replied to The Educator's topic in General Football & Sport
It's so they will be fresh for their big European Final. Oh wait a minute........ -
Iandoc1975 You wouldn't be the first to get started on Sue Barker. So who are you holding out for? Katie Price? Anyway, best of luck. Hope you get "started" soon.
