I'd like to see the better players kept, and Holden or a loan signing brought in, but if we don't sign anyone, and manage to hold onto our better players, then I'll be happy enough. Wasn't expecting any incomings in during the January window, so I'm not going to get all worked up about it. I totally agree. I think we would be silly to miss out on someone like Holden who is available for free. A player who we could keep for a few seasons then sell on at a profit.

Might be argued that if he didn't show passing ability out wide and could not handle the attention from opponents there, how could he stand up to the hurly burly and show passing ability in central midfield. there are not many top flight teams/managers that play young squads...even if they are winning. Look around the SPL at M'well, Aberdeen, Hamilton, etc. some 16 and 17 year olds getting a start.
