Kent is a good footballer. But we have come to a fork in the road. He does not do enough to deserve a pay rise but if he is willing to sign on the dotted line for the same amount of money then I would keep him. If he insists on another 5 or 10k a week then let him go.

It's the on field performances that are pissing people off. In search of a scapegoat it's blame the board time. I for one don't buy that arguement. Beale did well in his 1st window in securing Cantwell and Raskin for modest fees. We have to give him the summer and then see where we are. Better performances on the park next season and this will all blow over.

Bisgrove gets a pass mark. He is just doing his job and on the whole doing it well. But when he went to board with the Sydney proposal it should have been shut down there and then. Bisgrove, not being a fan, would not have realised how toxic this idea was. I feel that I don't know enough about Wilson's role at the club and in particular what influence he has on recruitment to comment on his fitness for the role. Capturing 55, making a European final, and winning a SC suggests to me that the patient is on the road to recovery. The board as a whole deserve credit for that.

Candeais was one of my favourite recent time players. Occasional flashes of brilliance and a very solid work ethic. Truth is that we have never found a replacement for him. Sakala who I like, has a wonderful first touch, and will track back, but it's his second and third touches which make him look very raw. I hope that he makes it but fair to say that the jury is still out. Scares defenses as they have as little idea as he does what is coming next. Start him v Hibs in midweek.

From the little I have seen of him Duk is worth a look. Price has to be right however. If Kent or his agent is playing silly buggers with regard to wage demands then he too must be let go. It's all up in the air at the moment.

A better but no more than decent performance in that 1st half. For my money it was a soft penalty but I am happy to take it.

Come kick off I shall doubtless fire up RTV but without any of my usual match day enthusiasm. 3 points are a must with a performance nice to have.

A lot of people forget that insurance kicks in at a certain point. The player will still be getting his contracted wages but the club will not be paying the full sum.

Watched the 1st half of Sheffield v Spurs yesterday and Wes played well. My reservations around Woodman are that he may be no better than Wes so at 3.5M I would pass and look to other markets.

Beale inherited this mess and he has to be given time to sort it out. I reckon that a year and 2 more windows is about right. We should know by then whether or not he is the man for the job.

Kent is worth keeping and if he agrees to 2 more years then get him signed up. Mind you if we get an offer during those 2 years then sell him.

There will be some additions this summer but not 10-12. The money just will not be there to spend on that scale. The squad needs trimmed and some who go will not be replaced. That's just freeing up wages. 2/3 quality new players and a good pre season is about all we can hope for.

Beale got it all wrong with his starting XI and compounded the error with his subs. However it is his rookie season and we have to hope that he has learned.

Say it's 20 quid per ticket Then 10k = 500 tickets. Cost is a minor problem and outweighed by the benefit of having VAR. Somebody could be sickened if they are kicked out of the cup by a clearly offside goal.
