Tav is exactly what we paid for. An English League 1 full back. But we don't want a full back. Tav and Borna are modern day wing backs and both play that role very well and have the stats to prove that several times over. What they are not is old school full backs.

It's do or die. They cannot be allowed to knock the ball about. We have to be constantly in their faces for 90 mins as we are not good enough to sit back and hit on the break. Anything other than a win and the league is over.

Tav is our captain but as this season progresses it becomes clear that he needs a break. I would give Devine a few weeks in that position and allow Tav to rest.

Inconsistent but likes a pop at goal. One I would be looking to move on this summer.

Borna is our best LB which sounds a bit harsh on Devine who did not put a foot wrong when asked to fill in. He will get future chances. Front three are pretty much as expected. Midfield fails to inspire me.

Is Tillman an adequate replacement for Aribo ? Absolutely. Should the purchase price be around 5M will we lose money ? No. I can see no downside to offering him a 4 year contract and waiting to see how he improves.

I was sad when Candieas was let go. He was a decent left winger who would back track when we out of possession. Always gave his all. Who can forget the game against Vienna at Ibrox when he hoofed the ball out of our box chased his own clearance down won the ball and played a delightful back healer into the path of Morelos who raced away to make it 3-1. He has no place on that list of wankers.

3 from 3 for Beale. Which is good. Performances though uninspiring, but with the injury situation it's a case of go with what you have got.
