Jesus, it’s fucking howling :megaanguish: Why do they always over complicate our strips? Block blue. No need for the daft badges and stripes. Honestly, most of the mock-ups that wee nerds post on here are better than the shite we’ve been hit with off Puma and Hummel.

How can someone be so wrong in such a short post?

Bet you love the Turkey fakes.

  3. Official Announcement

Part of the deal for Morelos

    Quote

Rangers are to play host to Finnish champions HJK Helsinki in a friendly match on Sunday, January 20 at Ibrox Stadium.

The match, which will kick-off at noon, was agreed upon the transfer of Alfredo Morelos from HJK to Gers last summer, and the timing will provide a good warm-up for Steven Gerrard’s side ahead of their return to league action at Kilmarnock three days later.

Helsinki will use the game as part of a short training camp as they prepare for the 2019 Veikkausliga, with the Finnish top flight running as a summer season.

They ended last season with a record 29th title win and are the only Finnish club to have competed in the Champions League group stages and Europa League group stages, their last qualification for the latter being in 2014.

Ticketing information for supporters will be communicated in due course.

Never came across any in my life although to be fair you'd have some neck on you to be a Northern Irish Protestant and decide you were supporting the taigs.

Pretty sure @lidorfc is from the Catholic community. As far as I remember anyway

I know of one, from Belfast. He's a complete knob though, think he just goes against the norm to try stick out for some reason. He moved to Glasgow and tells stories of how he was in the UVF or some shit, just makes up complete bullshit. Remember one time he showed a picture of a few guys in balaclavas with guns and said he was one of them. Came home and saw the exact same picture on here, just one of those well known pictures that everyone had seen somehow and he was claiming it was him

  5. If the new FIFA rules come in to play and teams can only loan out 6-8 players, clubs will probably be looking to offload players and put a buyback clause in the deal. Could happen with a few of our loan players next season.

Love the get rid of him, rip up his contract chat.

Amazes me that people even think that's a remote possibility.

Saw that. Along with Dorrans. Hopefully get some kind of word on both of them after the international break

Premier sports said they’re finding it hard to get but they’re still trying to get the game and want to give news about it later today, they tweeted that 3 mins ago.

They've been saying it all day, looks like a stock response. Their update later will probably be they're not showing it.

Does anyone have a way I can watch this through Chromecast in decent quality tomorrow evening?

if you're on Android, I use TVTap and it's usually pretty good quality, know that works with chromecast too. Otherwise, check r/soccerstreams and they should have a few links, usually a YouTube one and that'll work with chromecast.

I know from a sensible head perspective it makes no sense whatsoever but to be frank I wish every Scottish club other than the famous nothing but misfortune in Europe and pray they are pumped out at the earliest opportunity. They all without exception attempted to kill my club and told us everything would be Eutopia without us therefore fuck the co efficient and fuck every other club in the SPFl.  Yes it makes it harder for us in the long term but I can live with that. Hoping Hivs are royally shafted and Savco pumped out the play offs. Am I allowed to repeat fuck the co efficient?

I don't think anyone wants the other teams to do well, I certainly don't, but I can see the upside of any results they may get.

Wondered what combined Scottish Club European performances were required in order to get us up the pecking order and drop in to the final CL play off stage so had a gander at UEFAs website.

It's fucking well nigh impossible from what I can determine.

The entry level of the CL is now based on the Association's UEFA coefficient. Scotland is currently sitting in 26th place. You need to be 11th and 12th to guarantee  entry to the final play off round.

The Czech Republic and Switzerland are currently 11th and 12th.

They have coefficients of 31.063 and 32.075 respectively. Scotland's is 18.925.

There are no points available for winning any or all of the CL qualification rounds. You get 4 points for Group Stage qualification.

So, a Scottish team would have to qualify for the CL Group stages 4 times (in a row or otherwise)

AND hope that the 11th and 12th placed associations fail to qualify at the same time

AND hope that the other associations place 13th - 25th don't boost their coefficients with a run in either competition

AND we would still have a play off to negotiate.

Points earned from the EL (which are approximately half those of the CL) also have to be accounted for so Scottish teams would need to excel in that too to stand any fucking chance.

Bottom line is, the only way a Scottish club can GUARANTEE CL Group Stage participation is by winning the Europa League (and knowing our luck UEFA would change the fucking rules if we did)

Basically, it doesn't make the slightest difference if other Scottish teams get beat so fuck them all

We get 1 point for a win in qualifying. 0.5 points for a draw. These double in the group stages. Minimum 3 points in the EL group stage so even if you lose all group stage games you get 3 points for making it there. Points are then divided by number of teams in Europe. Scotland are currently sitting on 12.5 points/4 teams = 3.125 for this year, so any wins or draws for any Scottish teams benefits us. Doesn't mean I want them to do well, would rather see them all fucked 7-0 every game, but if they do win, at least we know it'll benefit us in the future.

Clocked that there. 1 point for a win and 0.5 for a draw for that country. I think my point still stands that scottish football would benefit from them being in Europa.

Aye, personally I think them being in Europa suits us best. No CL money, and having to play Thursday-Sunday most weeks, which hopefully we will be too, so no advantage for them in having longer rest periods. Hopefully they get fucked every single game, but if they manage a few wins/draws, it boosts the co-efficient which will help in the long run. Same with Hibs.

It's a myth anyway this coefficient stuff anyway. Didn't they change it now that it's based on round of elimination in regards to the qualifying rounds?

Clubs dont score points for winning games in qualification, only when they are in group stages of CL or EL. celtic won't receive any points for going out last night because they have the EL buffer whereas if we go out on Thursday we would then receive points.

The difference of celtic getting to EL group stages and CL groups is a massive ONE point of a difference. Once teams are in the group stages they then start to win points. The amount for wins and draws are the exact same for both tournaments.

Now considering they got thumped the last 2 times in CL it would actually benefit scottish football if celtic were in EL because (depending on the draw) they could actually win more than 0 or 1 game. With the amount of money they spend on wages and their own coefficient there is a chance they can compete in EL group stages compared to CL group stages.

Now personally I couldn't give a fuck about the other clubs or scottish footbsll in general but I hate this myth that is being pedelled that this wrecks Scotland's coefficient when it's completely is not true. The only thing the result last night hurts is their bank balance which is actually a positive for Scottish football as the league should become more competitive because they have less to spend.

Getting through rounds only affects each individual team's coefficient which is what affects seeding. Wins affect league coefficient, which is what matters when it comes to how many spots in Europe we get and what stage we enter at.

As has been stated already, as much as I love watching the rest of Scottish football lose European games we need to get this co efficient up or its June starts for the foreseeable, which is fuckin brutal.

Therefore, I am willing to very begrudgingly accept the ugly green cousins being in the Europa league groups as long as we make it there aswell.

A good few wins in the groups between us all and it should help massively.

Feels so wrong typing this out, but if it benefits Rangers in the long run, then my hatred needs to be tempered about 1%. Lol

I think them being dumped out of Europe entirely would not go well for us, as they'd turn their attentions solely to the league. EL groups is what I'd say suits best for co-efficient and to benefit our title challenge.

From my understanding it won’t be next season but the season after this seasons results affect anything.

Might be right on that one.

This site is always helpful for this kind of stuff as well, all the info you could need for co-efficients. Scotland currently up 3 places from 26th to 23rd. Think we need to get to 19th before it affects when Scottish teams enter qualifying.

Us and the bheggers need to start carrying us in europe again by qualifying for group stages and getting these extra points and hope yer Hibs and Aberdeen’s of this world do something.

This season has actually been pretty decent for the coefficient. Results from us and the rest so far have got us more points than will drop off, so we should hopefully climb a few places for next season.
