What were the recent versions like? I loved the first MGS but hated the second one, completely put me off the series.

If you already have a few COD games go for batlefield, MW3 kind of just feels like a map update of the oher ones. BF3 will offer something a bit different.

Mine too for ages, changed it though due to constantly being snipered as I stood out like a sore thumb in my all white armour!

Still have them and prefer them to the COD games. Only FPS to beat them is Battlefield 3. Sadly the new Rainbow 6 isn't out till 2013. Mass Effect 3 is probably the game I'm most looking forward to.

I've just not really played it that much. Did the campaign and got just under an hour and a half of online play before I got sick of it. Almost the exact same game as MW and MW2.

He's good but vastly overrated at the moment. I'd probably agree he's better but only by a small margin.

I'd agree with that Al Habsi is probably the main reason Wigan are still in the EPL this year. Two other keepers that haven't been mentioned in this thread and are severely underrated in recent years are Paul Robinson and Ben Foster. I dont think there is much between them and Joe Hart for title of best English keeper. As for Szczesny, definitely not the best in the league yet but has great potential as he's only 21(still about 10 years till he hits his peak as a keeper), certainly a better looking prospect than David De Gea.

Would agree that with our financial situation it would make sense with Alexander as an able depute. But if we do have to lose him I'd want him to go to a better side than QPR.

Would only bother if you have a lot of mates with a PS3. Both have their plus points but not worth buying the other for. Xbox: Better controller, smoother framerates, Kinnect superior to PS Move. PS3: Blu-ray player, free online gaming, higher resolution.

Best advice for you so far on here. Personally I have MW3 but wish I'd bought Battlefield mainly because thats what most of my mates play and also because Modern Warfare has barely changed since the first one, feels more like a map update pack than a new game.

MW3 is just the same rebranded shit from MW & MW2. Basically its a decent 1 player but story is way too short and boring as fuck online.

It'd be ridiculous to give him any real punishment over this. Purely a case of him using an outdated term, I imagine a lot of people his age will do the same. My mum mistakingly uses the term "coloured" as she thinks thats not offensive but she believes using the term "black" is offensive which actually was the case when she was younger.

I dont own Battlefield 3 just played it at a mates, however that was enough to convince me I'd made a poor choice buying MW3 and I voted for Battlefield.

Had the original Metal Gear for the NES, it was horrendous!!! MGS though probably edges Tomb Raider as the greatest ever PS1 game.

I'll put that down to the fact that your fairly new to the site and not used to MisterC's blatant fishing trips, watch out in future. But as others have said if your prepared to give it out you should expect some back. Ridiculous ban for the guy.

Cosidering trading mine in, disappointing to be honest. Single player is really good but also really short. Online is the same tired formula, haven't really played the game for about 2 weeks, just gathering dust.

Just spied an article on this, about fucking time!!! Gutted I have to wait over a year but hopefully it'll be worth it. The old R6 Vegas games are still the best online multiplayer games I've played on the current generation of consoles, graphics on the first was pretty shit but the gameplay kicked the arse of anything COD has come up with. Never really got the hype behind it, ok it was the first popular game where you could buy and sell players but the gameplay was horrendously bad, cou'ld lace the boots of super soccer that was out at the same time on the snes.
