Really enjoyed this, as a good history of the two clubs. I know I'll get pelters for saying this, but both clubs need one another - ying and yang. Probably nothing new here, but well documented, and a kind of social history of Glasgow, too. Fascinating.

The badge doesn't lie, as far as I'm concerned. It reads 'The Rangers Football Club'. So fuck the cunts who use it disparagingly. That's clearly what the club was known as then, and is now known. It's more Glaswegian too: people get 'the jail', etc. So just the restoration of the club's original name. How the Tims will seethe if that is widely disseminated. Tradition: love it.

I prefer the new one, though without checking I'm sure it now just says 'Ready' and 'Aye' has been dropped. Aye is Scots and integral to the club's identity, IMHO. The whole point of the thread was we were called 'THE Rangers FOOTBALL CLUB' decades ago. So fuck the bams that insinuate it's a new name. Apparently 'Rangers' cannot be capitalised on here.

Was reading about how the club has always had two badges RFC combined lettering and the Lion Rampant on the football one. Anyways, noticed this:

Yes it is. Usual standard, some parts funny, sad, grotesque, sordid, etc.

Just reading Irvine Welsh's latest book, Dead Men's Trousers, and obviously it's full of Hibs references. Soon after the Scottish Cup final game in 2016, one of the characters, Sick Boy reflects on the coverage:

Agree, mate. Thing is it comes down to supply and demand - and it will sell out, with people still clamouring for tickets. In reality the club could probably charge £150 and still sell out, it would just get them negative publicity.

This! Why support a club with our history and identity if you find it bothersome?! The quintessential British club...

It's probably the best indicator of a club's size.

Hearts are top, and with 100% record...just saying!

Which club is bigger? (Talksport vote)

Better, definitely. But celtic have a larger fan base, IMHO. -
Chelses, PAOK, Spartak....

I thought, 'good post - interesting perspective, well written, thoughtful, refreshingly different...' and then I see the photoshopped pics and realise the whole thing was an elaborate joke.
-
Bit harsh, mate.

I can appreciate how amazing it must feel to win away there, and I worry that the reduced allocations might affect the atmosphere. However, if the demand's there for season tickets then I would rather the allocation was cut.

Great video, thanks.

Why did you use quotation marks for 'tims' but not 'sheep', eh?

He skips meals and donates the money saved to the club, mate. -

Why only 14,000?! Stingy bastards... -
Neither, mate. You gave me a good laugh though...

GTF cunty bollocks! You're out of order. If you don't like a question, fair enough, but to imply I'm a Tim is a cunt's trick.

Calm yourself, pal! LOL

He's a genuine season ticket holder. I've gone to games with the guy. I understand it's controversial, which is why I asked. Is it superstition, or what's your reason for your opposition to it?
