  1. Whilst Hibs won't have as much of a budget I doubt it's "a fraction" of ours which implies they've had very little. It also overlooks how MW was able to put a team together in a few weeks which went on an 11 game winning run. Stubbs has had far longer to assemble a team. Credit where it's due, they've done well in the cups (Petrofac aside) but at this stage they're still in the lottery of the playoffs and they have Falkirk breathing down their necks. Celtic appointing Stubbs would be good news for us. Hardly a marquee appointment.
  2. Don't particularly care about him. At the moment he's clearly made a bad choice. Assuming Hibs would have played him he would have been safer holding out for a pre contract while still getting game time which is crucial at his age and the fact he lacked it when he was down south. However, we ourselves know the difference a quality manager can make. If they replace Delia properly there's nothing to say their team won't improve. That manager might see him as one of the first names on the team sheet. His decision might not look bad at that point.
  3. I take that back I can't see what he did wrong there. Awful decision.
  4. Looks short on confidence. Would like to see him get some game time to play himself into form.
  5. The Elbow Rooms is a decent bet but its close to the river so check in advance.
  6. Given the short time in which W&W had to assemble a team then of course I would have taken this at the start of the season. Having said that, our current form concerns me, and given it would appear that Hibs will be running us close, we can't afford to be dropping points, even if our forms improves again. The damage could be done by that point.
  7. As others have said in this thread, I cant believe they think that the SFA have let us off given all that's gone on. They're delusional and should be embarrassed about having less than a car load if people turn up.
  8. Whilst I would have no complaints about having the league sewn up early, this keeps things interesting. I think it's good for the team. If all goes to plan we will be back challenging Celtic for the league shortly and we'll be in the same scenario where we drop points at our peril. I think we still have some improvement in us. We've done really well to be where we are given we started from scratch in the middle of the off season.
  9. It's a start. I wish they would take that picture of Broxi down. It's tacky.
  10. Good statement. Glad we sat back and observed the fall out rather than issuing a hurried statement straivht after the verdict. This isn't 2012. If you want a fight you'll get one. 54 and counting.
  11. Would some sort of "family zone" outside the ground work? Somewhere you could take kids before the match but still get a beer?
  12. Probably quite far down the list of priorities for the club at the moment but it needs looking at. I assume it's been outsourced to a catering company who set the prices?
  13. No point worrying about Hibs. Focus on what's in front of us each week, trust the system, the results and the league will take care of themselves. We've done incredibly well given we started from scratch towards the end of the off season. There's still some improvement left in us too. Would like to see a defensive centre mid brought in so Halliday can play further forward. Would also like another striker brought in so Waghorn can start on the right. As to whether there is the sufficient quality out there we shall see. No doubt W&W have targets in mind. One of the things I've enjoyed most so far this season is seeing the likes of Tav, Waggy and Kiernan being plucked from "obscurity" and doing the business from day one.
  14. Really enjoyed that today. Not getting carried away given the standard of the opponents but very pleased. It was nice to get the fourth goal as a goalless second half might have taken the shine off a bit. For me we got back to trusting the system and focusing on the performance, rather than being apprehensive to keep a winning run of games going.
  15. Hoping that now the perfect record is gone the players will be feel under less pressure and can get back to playing with a bit of a swagger. 3-0.
