  1. I'm not a fan of his management style, but he is getting results with Aberdeen. They are ahead of us now. Can't really think of a realistic target tbh
  2. Defeat today is unacceptable, especially after the shambles the other night. The reaction from the players says a lot really
  3. I think historically that's true (and to be fair I think its probably nailed on that Sampdoria are catholic too). I started following Everton when Walter and big dunc whent down there, then realised a few of our players played there at some point as well. At that age I didn't even think that way tbh
  4. I think I'm one of those guys that fuck you off lol Rangers are the team I have that deep passion for, that desire, the club runs through my veins. When we get beat it rips right through my heart. When we won the penalty shoot out to get to the Manchester final in the eufa cup I was bawling my eyes out. Nothing comes close. I did however, start following Everton and Sampdoria (both because of tenuous Rangers links) when I was younger. They will always be a second team to me,but that's because I just love football
  5. Ah the usual "the smiths are depressing" nonsense from someone who doesn't listen to the smiths but goes by their reputation. If you listen, the lyrics are actually funny as fuck. Morrissey has a sense of humour.
  6. Don't think there's any need to call him a walloper bp9, that's a bit mean. The thing about using the league position stat (as the manager has used) is that yes, that is his target for the season, and until Aberdeen play their game in hand, that is where we are. The away points total is not good enough, and consistently so. He hasn't learned a thing. Home is the place to go and play open expansive football. Sometimes you have to go away and keep it tight for a while, change the formation and play ugly to win. Its not what I want to see all the time, but I also don't want to keep seeing us taking a pumping from a mediocre team who will not win their game tomorrow. There's a reason arsene Wenger hasn't won much in 20 the last 10 years, and Jose mourinho has. Jose changes his tactics, arsene doesn't. We have arsene
  7. Good article cushy. Good summary of where we are at just now and the tactical failings of the manager
  8. Bomber is at the club and is a pal of king.....
  9. Sure Walter used to do that sometimes with centre half's,have them sitting in the DM position
  10. Agree with the punch for cowies goal (was a horrible moment),but the blame for the other goal is firmly with Halliday for me. He let the ball roll past himself,to give himself space on the ball I guess, but he had the opportunity to trap it,and gave the ball away
  11. Yep its the same attitude the likes of Killie and Ross county will have against the so called bigger teams (like us) "if we get a result away its a bonus". He just hasn't grasped the must win mentality we have, and what drives us as fans. I want to see Celtic get fucked in testimonials never mind in the league, but he is looking at it that if we beat the bottom 6 teams away, and win most of our home games, then we should come good. It's not a great ethos alright and it looked like the players accepted defeat last night. Fuck the scoreline,it was the way we gave up
  12. Hill does a decent job, but keirnan is consistently bad. He doesn't learn from his mistakes
  13. I understand the point that its based over the course of a season and that there will be blips along the way, and we should finish second, but there seems to be a lack of fight, tactical nouse and an inability to change things when the cards are stacked against us. The manager looks defeated. I was a supporter of him until last night. To me it looks like he has taken the team as far as he is capable of,and a Change is needed to get us clear in second place. The thing is,hearts have Motherwell I think this weekend. I'd be wiling to bet the mortgage that they don't win that game.
  14. This is the thing for me. The fight isn't there. The players chucked it last night. 3 of the 4 goals came from individual errors. 2 of them from guys who do it often. I would love to see us play open, expansive football all the time but away to the tougher places we are left exposed every single time. Id take a scrappy 1-0 win at places like that and go for it at home, open up a bit more there. Keirnan should never have missed that header, not at this level. It was a pathetic attempt tbh. Halliday is the same. He should have been brought off straight after that. You're right about the forward line as well. Away at places like that its more than OK to play 5 in midfield and win those battles. Last night was horrible and seemed to get worse and worse when the sub's came on
  15. That's the point for me. If that was a one off, freak result then fair enough but that's the 3rd or 4th proper pumping we have taken this season. We should never be pumped at all. Time to go Mw
  16. I said that to the Mrs. Its like he accepted we were getting pumped and couldn't get back into it
  17. It will probably be a similar line up to tonight I suspect. He will want to give the same players a chance to redeem themselves, which shows again he doesn't appreciate how big we are
