As someone who used to play at a decent youth level,we would get pelters for not looking up and picking out a cross. random hit and hopes with nobody in the box just gives possession away. only time that was allowed was hard and low across the box,you could maybe get a deflection.

Thats a good point about Barton and the training facilities. we have a player with a "brand", who is currently depreciating in any value he may have had,and decreasing in fitness. even if they make him train with the u20's we'd at least still be getting value from a player we are allegedly paying 20k a week. becoming embarassing atm

Spot on. i dont see him having the vision to change a game. if we can see the predictablity then other managers can. flood the midfield,be physical and load our penalty box. thats what it seems to take to nulify us atm. We have no aggression in that team. i see what the manager is trying and i applaud his vision as i want us to be playing free flowing attacking football. we dont have the personnel for that just now and it would be nice to see us mix it up a bit,and for gods sake change the formation mid game if its not working!
