I've defended him as I think people had made their minds up, based on little to no evidence that Dessers = shit, Danilo = good. I think that his contribution in recent league games has been disregarded because it hasn't fitted that narrative. However, I expected far far more from him. He's had plenty of game time now and he can't always just be excused because of a lack of service. Morelos (when he was interested, motivated and fit which was too little) generated his own service by dropping deep and contributing. When he has got involved in the game he seems to lack quality or any real stand out attribute. It's worrying.

Rubbish. Only Gough has contributed more in the last 30 years. He's as good as Amoruso, Craig Moore etc ever were. Cuellar and Boumsong played at a higher level but their spells were short.

They do all their organisation on the training pitch. That's the coaches role to decide. The players then follow the instructions set. They don't just decide what they fancy when they walk on the park, especially at set pieces.
