Correct spelling of the name this time. He's Colombian though.

I'm sure the majority of us want to keep him but it's almost inevitable he's leaving

You should have placed a comma after 'him'. I just wanted to talk about Rangers.

Anyway......I reckon both Dafoe and Davies will be up to speed next season do we might not miss Morales to the extent we fear.

Morelos (hope I spelled correctly this time) is only 22. He is a Columbian international and will only improve. He has been singled out this season because of how good he is and I don't think we could replace him.

We need to stand by him because he needs our support.

  3. Morales is the future. I would love to see Defoe stay, play and coach, however I think that celtic are scared of Alfredo and our supporters need to back him.

They want us to sell him! I really hope we don't.

They’ve got you on that one too (technically) although it’s pretty easy to avoid if you’re cute about it.

Your spot on, however we play kids mixed with fringe players (like the top teams in the English premier do) and it's win win for us. We lose and our kids get experience in playing in a conpetative match and the revenue for other clubs drops and if we win it's a confidence boost and an embarrassment for other teams ?

We don't have the option to withdraw from the Scottish Cup. We refuse to play they revoke our licence to play. At all. No friendlies, no league, no Europe.

Rangers aren't legally responsible for any away fans attending games anyway so it's an utterly toothless threat.

We don't get to refuse to sign the TV deal. Clubs don't sign it. The SPFL does on our behalf. We might - if we're lucky get a vote on it but us refusing alone would do absolutely nothing. If we refuse the media partners access we just open ourself up to sanctions from the SPFL.

Easy solution just play our kids teams.

Strictly speaking, no it doesn’t. A company is responsible for sufficient oversight of its employees. If Neely abused a child and it was allowed to happen by virtue of the club not having strong enough safeguards for the protection of children and/or sufficient oversight of the coach’s activities and/or didn’t run proper background checks including referencing from other Football clubs etc etc then Rangers are on the hook too. Sacking the guy after the event doesn’t end it I’m afraid.

In this instance though we’ve obviously lawyered up and told him the correct legal position - his claim lies with the liquidators. It’s a non story other than the fact the guy has gone to the press because he has realised he won’t get a penny out of the liquidation proceeds. Which is a real shame if he was abused, because he deserves some form of compensation for what it has done to his life. I’m almost tempted to suggest the club should agree a negotiation with him on a good faith basis.

Your talking about this case as if it has happened in the modern era. The lack of the technology we have today meant there was no electronic means to do background checks. The only way to check someone was on a personal level and as Jimmy Saville has proved peado's can be capable of hiding their true nature. The safeguards that are required today were non existent in the eighties.

I had £25 on the sheep. Easiest money ill ever make. Of course I will pass the proceeds to the lodge for charitable support.

Scottish football is rancid, but we only have ourselves to blame.

Did the same. Unfortunately I was recently made redundant so not in a position to donate. Knew the would lay down just like against Hivs. Least their cheating is helping me take care of my 5 year old.

Sorry but for the people who are saying he's our best player can you tell me what he's actually done? Scored a couple goals and assists but that's about it and is posted missing for long spells of the game (some I even forget he's playing) not to say he won't improve with better coaching/tactics/better players around him but he needs to vastly improve. I thought he would be taking players on cutting inside, shooting etc but apart from a few good passes in behind he's not created a lot. Scored a good goal against hearts but would like to see more of that and less stopping at the defender and making the side ways/ backwards pass. For the amount of stick windass gets for going missing it's hypocritical for people to be not picking Murphy up for the same. Time will tell but has not lived up to expectations in my opinion.

I personally said he was 'one of our best players. I'd be genuinely interested to hear who you think is better?

  9. Murphy is easily one of our current best players. You have to wonder why some of our 'so called' support are constantly negative. There has been a lot of talk about needing a cull of our playing squad. There should also be a cull of current RM members!

You know it won't be a popular opinion but I actually think McCoist is a great coach/assistant to have next to a strict, disciplined and organised manager (no need to guess who I'm referring to there)

I'm not saying he's got outstanding coaching qualities, but he will bring a group together, bring a level of camaraderie to the squad.

That's a quality that not a lot of teams have, I also think a strict boss would keep McCoist in check, make sure his focus is right.

Obviously there will be better tactical coaches, better fitness coaches, but that's why you have more than one.

I genuinely think if McCoist wanted a future in the game, he could do it as a assistant/coach at a relatively decent level.

Sorry but as much as he was a hero of mine McCoist lost my respect as a coach when he was out singing Karaoke with the players after the Raith defeat. Most modern footballers try to live like athletes and unfortunately McCoist hasn't moved on. I'd much prefer to see him telling stories, making people laugh and be where he belongs, a guy that makes you laugh on the TV.

Lacks the right type of professionalism for a modern day coach.

Whos crying about it , the club made another fuck up letting it happen.

The club didn't make the decision. Everyone is assuming it was down to money however Scottish League v German. Which is better?

what a scary fucking thought and could quite possibly be true.......ffs given how Gerrard is dragging his heels about taking the position, if media are right about all these meetings and so on, he isn't coming because he really wants to, he is thinking about himself and NOT the club...we need to have someone there because HE wants to be there and wants to make a difference, not some fucker trying get us to jump through hoops for them when they should be jumping through windows for us. He has no experience in management other than a short spell with dealing with kids...oh, wait a minute, is that the link? another fucking Murty trying to make the step up from the youth to the adult division

Steven Gerrard played a long career under some of the best manager's in the world. Captain of a top club and his country. European Cup winner as Captain and Captained England during World Cups and Euros, however you compare him to Murty? Ffs!

    Proper managerial leadership is needed.

Not a youth team coach.   A proper football manager with proper experience of grabbing a squad of players by their collective scruff of the neck and turning them into proper professional footballers who do the job they are paid to at Rangers.

If a properly competent, experienced football manager is not appointed and given enough transfer funds to get far better players in then its more of the same for a while to come.   The Club needs a proper football manager.   The Board has made an utter mess of making proper managerial appointments since they arrived.   I have zero confidence they will get it right next time.  But until a credible, proper and effective football manager arrives shambles will follow shambles.

'With experience of grabbing their collective scruff of the neck'. A European Cup final springs to mind.

Get him into rehab and get him the support he needs.

I agree. What are our options:

    1. Pay off the remainder of his contract.

    2. Sell him (No-one will buy)

    3. Pay for rehab and help him. (If this works we get a good player and show the world we actually care about our players).

Three would be my choice, what do we have to lose?

They may be horrible bastards, but there is fuck all wrong with them singing about Durrant imo, I'd do the same if it was the other way about. But, the they sing about him because we do is a lot of shite, and fuck retweeting the wank as well

Singing about an assault that ruined a potential world class Scottish players career is not something I'd ever sing about, whatever club they played for.
